Don’t know about others but somehow the racist chanting against Black English footballers by the so called Spanish fans irritated me more than the same from Eastern European fans. I suppose I see eastern Europeans as some sort of depraved primitives emerging from years of soviet domination; a people whose taste run to dilapidated Lada cars and whose pallet are more used to eating old boots. These were not humans with discerning taste acquainted with the finesse of modern international relations. With these backwater people years of redemption lie ahead of them and so they can be forgiven for such indiscretions. However the Spanish? Why aren’t these the same people blacks seem crazy about? Remember Shade, Naomi and Tony Braxton and several other African American female stars going gaga over Spanish men in various music vids? As a mater of fact there are quite a lot of African Americans who want to get rid of the term “African American� as identity because they have gotten in real close with Hispanics? Yet there were the cerdos sucios [size=3][font="Times New Roman"]making monkey noises at black footballers. Charming.

[size=3][font="Times New Roman"]Anyway re-examining my feelings of irritations it struck me that my Nigerian upbringing is to blame because I suddenly realised that it wasn’t so much the monkey noises made at black players which annoyed me, oh no it’s not the Nigerian way to be upset by such things. Rather it’s the Nigerian way to want to make pig noises (greasy pig noises in this case) in retaliation. Personally, and like most Nigerians I don’t rate any humans above me much less these greasy Spanish people whom even the cannibalistic Carib Indians wouldn’t touch with a poison arrow because their flesh it turned out was thought to be too oily, tough and disgusting.

Ifthe theory is to be believed that racial tension occurs within a country when the population passesthe level of6-8% immigrants then the Eastern Europeans have no obvious reason for such hatred.

Its a cultural thing with Europe. Without that they would not bein the positionthey are today.

Why are people so surprised that this happened in Spain?
