clp)Nice one girl....i swear to God i am still puzzled by Aliyahh's so called credibility....confused3a midiocre singer who just happened to be lucky enough to be very pretty hence people were too busy being mesmerized by her to really listen to her voice, and was having an affair with that Dash and died a little too young......how is that an air of mistery?confused2

Oh well...at least now i know what i should come back as in the black race if i want to be so bloody popular for absolutely NOTHING!

I swear that at least half of the people on this threadhave oneshallow reason or other for liking a specific celebrity but'tis the seasonfor Naomi Campbell bashing hence why she's the only one receiving the criticisms. Is this thread about listingyour favourite celebrity or what your favourite celebrity has done to save the world? If it's the latter, then at least 80% of the celebrities on this thread should not be here. But I don't hear anyone asking Athaba why she likes Whitney Houstin when the woman is on crack or why they like Aaliyah when she had an affair with a married man and married R. Kelly to further her career when she was only 15 years old. Hypocrites.
Oh, and when you come back make sure that whatever dirt you do is with a black man. It doesn't matter how bad it is, it will be over looked and you will be beloved by all in this community as long as it ain't with a white or some other race man. But God forbid that you ask them to hold their own flawed heros by the same standards.

Aaliyah, like Naomi Campbell, is pretty butfor some reason it seems to stop at the surface. I have seen her in tv specials and interviews and something about her always came off as rather snobbish and cold. For that reason she never really appealed to me.She doesnt seem to give off any mystery IMO,just the impression that she is a stuck up, heartless, b*tch. But I suppose some guys like that, LOL.

When the missionaries came to Africa, they had the bible and we had the land. They taught us to pray with our eyes closed. When we opened them, they had bible, and they had the land.

I've met Aaliyah and she was not stuck up in any way shape or form. Very charming and open actually. Kinda quietly spoken but not arrogant at all. I went away liking her more.

I think thats the first time I've ever heard anyone describe her in that way.........maybe the way she looks makes you assume she is that way, but I know she did some workshops or something in London secondary schools one time......from the people who knew her, she was always described asa sweetheart.....even before she died......have you ever heard anything bad about her?

But anyway, regardless of how people act some people give off a certain vibe, and everytime I have heard the woman speak she always gave off that vibe to me. I was never basing my claims on meeting her personally as mostpeople never get the honored privledge of meeting celeberties.....theres no crime in statingmy opinionor thatI have to meet her in order to come to my conclusions....

And how people act in the public eye can be completely different from how they act in other situations or in person......Some people may be nice to fans, but may do some not so great things when the publics back is turned.....just thought id like to add that.
