Listening to a radio show recently and it was evident that a lot guys feel that if a woman has slept with more than 8-10 men in her life, then shes slack, and definately not "marriage material".

Is there a magic number, ie how many is too many?

Because of social expectations, stigma and the way we have to behave it's obvious any woman will give you (and her friends) an answer which is a fraction of the truth and guys tend to inflate such numbers.

I usually go with the feeling that I don't need to know. I'm not somebody who asks about her exes and previous tings... I don't really care. As Chris Rock said be happy she's f*****g you now lol Also it's not territory I'd like to go into about myself which would be the obvious counter question. Uh uh.

But then again if she was your darling angel and you found out she was "known" to everyone? hmm

If a man ever tried to ask me that, id laugh in his face, seeing that the vast majority of men could not even fit their conquests on two sides of A4...and then have the cheek to point the finger at women, when in my experience the men that frequently use the terms "loose" "hoe" etc actually embody the meaning of the words

by the way a women with an "extensive" sexual past is as off putting to me as a man with the same, sure ill be his friend and date him but hell to the no would i consider a man who has slept around as my ideal husband material- oh no he didnt! the thought of being stuck with a man ho for the rest of my life is enough to put me off marriage for life

If women could find more men that knew how to handle their biz then we wouldn't have to seek more the a few men in our lifetimes......

Never really been a problem to me, long as one has their health intact... and they have the ability love and etc... Nothing I can really do if a man has 50 previous partners all I can actively do is make it 51.. or leave it be.

I think this is a really good question. As An_Advanced_Spark touched on, does it really matter as long as they are sexually healthy? Which means they are responsible. Also if the man loves the women and the women loves the guy all that shouldn’t mean s*** in a loving, committed and spiritual relationship. Black people need to get over sex...

its fine to say you dont care and it doesnt matter in theory, but when you get down to it, it does matter and you do care, in saying that i am a person who has been raised with christian beliefs and i believe that when you have sex with someone you become attached spiritually. i believe that sex is fundamentaly supposed to be the union of two people, so if a man/ woman has had 50 + unions i wouldnt care to think what spiritual baggage he is bringing my way, therefore it is a rather big turn off but thats just what i believe in.
in saying that no one is perfect so of course people will have pasts but i think someone with less lovers shows a level of self respect and restraint in that area that is not present with someone who has racked up more.

Yep. Dont want to know if nobody tells me. But if you did find out she's been round the block a few times then no doubt have to re-evaluate. Imagine you just preparing to marry your sweetheart and a X rated DVD pops through the door starring wifey to be. Or find out she knows one of your slapper bredrens in the past a bit too well...
