Does Western society destroy the sprit of the black man/woman relationship? Is it unnatural for blacks to remain in western society forever? And can we function without the need of western society.

your thoughts please.

to be honest with you soo many people fuction with the "looser status" the west have given them that if you put them somewhere as equals or infact where they are supposed to be they wouldnt be able to function

I recon it will take 50O+ years for some to realise their true potentual.

Only the best is good enough....

O.K ...interesting

what do you mean by looser status? Why would it take 500 years to achieve independence?

We can't/will never be ''independant'' in a western country, their economy is one of exploitation so by doing so we will only be exploiting our own along with them. Becoming independant means having the power base to fight them and that exploitation which then puts their economy into perspective as we'd be helping our countries take on the issues effecting them and charging the west what we should be for the goods and resources they 'purchase'. Lawsuits against mining and other companies like Cadburies after checking on the living/working conditions of the people on the farms, boycotting those companies and encouraging others to do so. Half of us still buy goods stolen from our countries oblivious as to where it came from or how it was made.

Its a catch 22 situation, the only way we can make progress is to achive that inependance in an African country and have it spread. The past 500 years have seen various countries struggle to keep up with the boost that the Maafa gave/is giving the west in terms of economy and military power, many of them (china for example) have done so by supplying cheap but organized labour to get their countries functioning at a pace the west is. We need to find a way to make our disposition work for us to turn the tables so we can sanction european countries, demand an apology for the Maafa (ongoing) and force an agreement to pay repirations.

Black children get sent to school to be psychologically conditioned not educated. This emphasis on sports creates ingrained competition. You don't want the lower orders cooperating with each other.

For those in the UK in the first instance try sending your kids to Africa or the Caribbean every summer let this kids embrace and know they come from a rich culture it would fill them with confidence knowing this...most black kids in the diaspora always seem to have been conditioned to have a low esteem status as @BP and @Umbrachrist have mentioned in not so many words...that when in position of power or influence cannot even maintain that status and tend to self destruct

one will need a bigger lie to cover the first one

Economic power is the key but which door do we open it with?

The problem is no black unity and no collectively recognised identity - it does not exist, never has and even in the face of universal poverty and oppression never will. This is particularly of issue with the descendants of slaves. Most if not all other 'non westerners' in the west still know where home is. We are our worse enemy and make the biggest contribution to our own downfall.

BP - I am a firm believer that superiority and inferiority complex can be inherited. I also believe some of us are born with that inner consciousness that links us directly with our ancestors, myself and Toyin of Ligali are just two, but most are not. With no class or common culture, one mans looser status is another mans heaven and each perceives and describes the others status accordingly. As the saying goes, think you're in heaven but your living in hell....even tramps are telling big supers this.

I even have white people telling me England is the last place they want to raise their kids, it is a decadent existence. Saying that, I heard a poet over the weekend say the beautiful thing about the UK is when he lived in the Caribbean, he never met a brotha or sista from a neighbouring Caribbean island, each was bound to their piece of land but in the UK he met them all.

So, no questioning is needed, no pondering, no why, it just is, no black unity, I suggest you go out there and enjoy your lives in the best way you know how because the next ice age is a million years away and although we may have a few trivial success stories, nothing significant is going to change before then.

Heaven is not guaranteed to any of us, so try and live as much of it as you can on earth - of which I'm guessing most of us already do.

I have to agree with BL and Incognito. We simply can't heal in Babylon. In fact even the indigenous population like cogs mentioned is admitting this country is simply going down the tubes, and that's been more than evident post-2000. Probably 10 years ago we may have had a chance here but the rapid deterioration in this country which has played a big role in our relations with one another has been staggering.

We're bred and conditioned to be our enemies here in the west. You know my feelings on this. Brothers find it hard to nod and say wassup to another brother on the street without paronoia and suspicious. You walk into a dance and each other brother is watching you like you're a potential enemy. Only got look at the basics like that before even beginning on male/female issues. Worship of white supremacy no matter how you dress it up goes hand in hand with self disgust.

unity for blks here in the west is futile,. here especially in the u.k. a country were mixing isnt as frowned upon as-black unity. a place were blks are scared of unitying with one -another.

im hoping to be moving to west-africa for a about 2yrs sometime this year hopfully. im not saying its all heaven there.but going there would rewind the depression i have endured here in the u.k.
lol

this country really has gone to the pitts, have you seen the new wave of asian(oriental) imigrants, appearing here latley?in this small-ass island?.

this counrty should now be named, shitthole. this and france has been the worst european country i have ever seen. i swear some parts of france remind me of some slums in west -africa.

Trust is a serious issue in that there just isn't any and I'll be the first to say my trust is now at the point where there's nothing to gain in trying to prove it anymore. I'm in a moral dilemma right now where this apologetic African lady damaged my car in the supermarket and to pay for the damage really is no skin off my nose. My heart wants to tell her to forget about it and look to after her children but my experiences are saying hit her for six, if I don't someone else will.

I think our problem is we are a unique people (just lo
