50 Years In The United Kingdom, Has It Been A Fruitless Exercise?
the vast majority of africans in the united kingdom have migrated here within the50 years
we could go on for pages about the negatives in relation to our residency but what are the positives?
i know there are members here who feel that britain "ain't all bad" so could we have a positive thread where posters simply state what they find good, great or fantastic about the african british experience

@Breadfruit
Here are some positives
1. Free education
2. Free NHS
3. Benefits for those unable to work i.e. govt assistance.
Now I know each of the above can be argued on the quality but the fact remains that many of our parents comes from countries where you have to pay for above and basically if you don't have money for medical or education you potentially face a lifetime of poverty. Thats why I get real pissed of when the youths do not take education serioulsy and piss around that is why I get pissed of that people abuse their health when they do know better and can do better and finally that is why I get pissed of when people purposely abuse/fraud the state benefit system.
If the above were to be taken away do you think as a whole we would benefit more or fall flat on our faces?

@ Breadfruit
Fifty years? "aint all bad?"
You are English why not just admit it?
Thanks for sticking it out....sure enough there must be advantages....what is your opinion?
@ Madfet
You sound like "Disgusted" Tonbridge Wells in the Telegraph/Sun/Mirror/Times readers letters........so the English aren't all bad then?

So the English aren't all bad then well thats another question all together because I pointed out 3 systems here in the UK doesn't really reflect on the English person does it and lets not forget our taxes contribute to all of these services I mentioned. But although all three could stand improvements they are things that England should be postively acknowledge for in my opinion and lets not forget these very things are 3 main reasons why many under previledge want to gain entrance to the UK.

I am sure my stance is different than that you mentioned from those newspapers no doubt they come from a disgruntled white complaining about the immigrants in this country abusing the system. Mine is showing a comparison from where our parents come from and what they would have to pay for in relation to what their children may take for granted.

have i ever said i was not english?
is that not the automatic title of those born in england?
this is not a topic on identity so please keep on topic.
in fact i would prefer white people stay out of this thread as their opinions were not asked for and will probably distract (like now)
advantages?
well living in one of the main european metropoles
a country built on empire
i live in a place where wealth has made goods more accessible than britains old colonies
for example, commodities such as computers, satellite navigation, motor cars and their maintenance
are much more common and cheaper here than in many of the lands we africans migrated from

All your "positives" are the same as the average English,I would guess. And yes I would say they do reflect on the English person in general...but thats another topic.

And No,your stance is similar to the newspaper's disgruntled contributors,in that you dont think the system should be abused....they are only "free" at source, they are all "paid" for...and we all pay in one way or another.
