This is a candid but light heartedly revealing little taleofacollection of white folk --

Fed up with African Americans --theywishthemselves away. They passthrough a long black tunnel to emerge to the netherside of thetwilight zone. Here there isan America without black people.

Initially, these folk are happy and relieved. Thereis no more crime, drugs, violence or welfare, or so they say. All the blacks are gone they exclaim! Suddenly, a jolt of reality surfaces. The [New America] is a barren land. Because you see:

1. There are very few [if any] crops that have flourished because the former nation was built on a slave-supported system.

2. There are no cities with tall skyscrapers because Alexander Mils, theblack man, who invented theelevator is not there. This makes itdifficult to impossible toreach higher floor heights..

3. There are few if any cars because Richard Spikes, theblack man whoinvented the automatic gearshift, Joseph Gambol, also black, who invented the Super Charge System for Internal Combustion Engines, and Garrett A. Morgan, a black man, who invented the traffic signals are MIA.


4. More over,there is norapid transit system because theprocurer ofthe electric trolley,another black man, Albert R. Robinson is not there.

5. Though there may be streets, they look like the streets of Europe during the 'Black Plaque' when the streets were littered with refuse such as animal waste, human waste and paper. You seeCharles Brooks, invented the street sweeper, a black man.

6. John Loveinvented the pencil sharpener, William Purveys invented the fountain pen, Lee Barrage invented the TypeWriting Machine and W. A. Love invented the Advanced Printing Press. They were all, you guessed it, Black. So there are no magazines, newspapers, or printed literature.

7. Even if Americans could write their letters, articles and books, they are not able to transport the info by mailbecause William Barry who invented the Postmarking and Canceling Machine, William Purveys who invented the Hand Stamp and Philip Downing who invented the Letter Drop are absent fromt he scene.

8. The lawns were brown and wilted because Joseph Smith who invented the Lawn Sprinkler and John Burr who invented the Lawn Mower are absent.

9. Their homes arepoorly ventilated and poorly heated. You see, Frederick Jones who invented the Air Conditioner and Alice Parker who the Heating Furnace are missing. Their homes aredim causeLewis Later who invented the Electric Lamp, Michael Harvey who invented the lantern and Granville T. Woods who invented the Automatic Cut off Switch are no there. Their homes were [also] filthy because Thomas W. Steward who invented the Mop & Lloyd P. Ray the Dust Pan are all gone.

10. Their children met them at the door-barefooted, shabby, motley and unkempt. Because guess what?Jan E. Matzelinger who invented the Shoe Lasting Machine, Walter Sammons! who invented the Comb, Sarah Boone who invented the Ironing Board and George T. Samon who invented the Clothes Dryer are gone.

11. Dinner, finally, isamidstturmoil because here again,the food had spoiled. The famousJohn Standard is not there to invent the refrigerator.

This country would not be what it is w/o the many GREATcontributions of People of Color.

Black Antiquity notes that--by the time the world woke up to realize its greatnessall the great things had already been discovered. Enslaving and miseducatingthese greatpeople of color did not stop their ability or capability to turn the tables and re-invent America, believe that!

This is something I wish more Afro-American leaders would do! Focus on our cultural innovactions instead of only crying about slavery! WE WERE MORE THAN JUST SLAVES! Our history and accomplishments are so easily stolen away from us because most of us don't even know 1/10 of what we have did in America.

Most of us are totally ignorant of our TRUE legacy!
