From what I've heard, if you were to climb the great pyramid and put a glass bottle wrapped in wet newspaper on top of it, it'd generate electricity and sparks would fly from the bottle.
The pyramids are on leylines in the earth, energy grids,so it may be possible.. anyone else heard of something similar?

@ The sphinx, Never heard of this before (I stand to be corrected). But I assume whoever told you this theory must have been doing this I guess

It would be interesting to demonstrate what you described though.

Yup.
Sir william converted the wine bottle by wrapping it in wet newspaper, the device was crude but served its purpose as the static electricity charge became so high that the wine steamed from the bottle.
As its on the internet hosted by the Knights Templar its gotta be true and held as fact...
Ok, more proof needed....

Are Greek capital letter omega and the Ohm sign (symbol for electrical unit of resistance), the same character or not? Historically the Greek letter was adopted as the Ohm sign, but it is a question of opinion as to whether it has by usage now become a symbol in its own right.
--------------------------------------------------------------
And we all know who the greeks learnt/stole from. They just forgot about the bibliography.
Looks kinda familiar don't it?
The female loop of the Anhk.. also note the female/male link in electornics. The Jack being the sticky in part much like a mans -Ughrm- and the Jill being the warm and sticky part often reffered to as the -Oooh yeah baby-

"At the Hathor Temple in Dendera, Egypt, several intriguing glyphs are depicting strange scenes. In the opinion of a classical archeologist, there is hardly anything out of ordinary in the scenes. The explanation of the glyphs stirred some passion amongst amateurs and experts alike.

But then something curious happened: the book got noticed by electrical engineers. As a group of professionals who could not care less about what other experts think, they commented on the picture with an unequivocal 'wow!'
Ivan Sanderson gives an example of analysis in an already mentioned publication, "Investigating the Unexplained" done by an electromagnetics engineer, who knew nothing about the history or mythology of ancient Egyptians. It is necessary to quote him verbatim for contextual meaning:
"The items, as depicted, are most fascinating; certain elements, especially the cables, are virtually an exact copy of engineering illustrations as currently used. The cable is shown as very heavy, and striated, indicating a bundle of many conductors, rather than a single high voltage cable.
As a matter of fact, a single high voltage cable would be much thinner; if the insulation was required to be that heavy for extreme high voltages, or moderately high voltages at high currents, rest assured that no technician would be holding the associated device. Corona leakage would 'get' him most swiftly.
The supporting stands would be much taller and heavier to withstand such voltages. It is much more likely that the cable is, as stated, a multi-conductor, wrapped and insulated with an outer jacket. If this were a 'light bulb', the maximum size of both would be explainable by heavy current demands; but high voltage of such a size would not be required.
It would seem to follow that moderately high voltages are in use; a connector is obviously employed; some type of supporting base to glass seal seems apparent."
The monkey with knives in hand on the right of the picture is a glypth that supposedly coveys; danger for the uninitiated.
Bagdad Battery
Right, a "working" 2000+ year old battery.
The ancient battery in the Baghdad Museum, as well as those others which were unearthed in Iraq, are all dated from the Parthian occupation between 248 BCE and 226 CE. However,a Dr. Konig, the discoverer also found copper vases plated with silver in the Baghdad Museum, excavated from Sumerian sites in southern Iraq, dating back to at least 2500 BCE.
When the vases were lightly tapped, a blue patina or film separated from the surface, which is characteristic of silver electroplated onto copper base. It would appear then that the Parthians inherited their batteries from one of the earliest known civilizations.
Hmmmm.... if anyones got friends into electronics that might even call themselves electricians please show them the pics of the egyptians would be intresting to really know about it.

Prehaps not related but how did they cut granite?

Copper, is a crap metal, a brilliant conductor yes but rubbish at cutting into anything except chalk or playdough. Theres no way, in my opinion, that these guys used to cut stone with copper, especially not granite and why are there no burn marks or carbon residue in their strctures if they had to use torches? The celings would be coated in soot from thousands of years.. not that they aren't, I'm just posting something I read while getting the images.

@The Sphinx,
I don't doubt the story that the Egyptians invented electricity. I only wonder why it is necessary to climb the pyramids to demonstrate this. I assume there are other ways of demonstrating this story without having me or you climb to the top of the pyramid, although I would prefer that you climb while I stay on the ground and take notes and document all experimental observations:P. But the document you pasted make sense and I would look into that more.
I am an engineer but not electrical, more Mechanical and Petroleum. Perhaps brother Thoth B3 who is an electrical engineer can help with all the electrical signs.

Not sure how they made such good sculptures out of granite with copper tools. It dosen't make sence, no way could copper chip through such a tough stone.
You tellin meyou wouldn't climb to the top of Giza? Come on bruh! Wheres the extra in ya? I'd break loose of the tourist group and scrable up there given a chance. Probably hear about it in the news.
