For 75 years Nubian kings ruled over ancient Egypt, reunifying the country and building an empire. Until recently, theirs was a chapter of history lost in the shadows.

they already knew the all the Pharoahes were black. white people just don't like to hear about black people's history it makes their achievements seem small & pathatic.

Let's look at what they are actually trying to say.

While National Geographic admits there were Black Pharoahs, it portrays the Nubian Pharaohs as the ONLY black Pharoahs who only ruled for a mere 75 years.Which leaves or i should says (mis)leads the reader to conclude that the rest weren't.

That's the difference

This seems like an attempt to play down the overwhelming yet little heard of evidences which support the fact of early Pharoahs being black.

Yeah, I hear what you saying but this article is the first maintream publication to even entertain such notions.

That National Geographic link says alot of rubbish. Such as the Nubians being the first to be influenced by "Egyptmania". when its well known among Egyptologists that the culture of ancinet Kemet ( Egypt) in fact came from Nubia and not the other way around. Thats why a king of Kush/ Nubia could claim legitimate heir to Egypt through ancestory/ culture.

So I wouldnt be bigging up the National Geographic as it confuses the issue more than anything else.


There is a similar book by Christian Jacq who writes fictious stories based on historical events in Egypt. He even goes on about Rames flowing blond locks and a whole heap of idiotic talk.

Of course the Pharoahs were an Afrikan people. Why do you think Napolean shot of most of the noses of their statues. It did not sit well with him that the first great world power was Afrikan.
In pictures the Egyptians painted themselves Red representing the masculine( in juxtuposition to Europeans who represent Blue for a boy and Pink for a gir) and Yellow for women. This fact has caused some confusion and has helped to promote the lie that Egyptians were light skinned Arabs. The colouring used is ocre and many Afrikan civilations, today still use this as a representation of the masculine and feminine.
Now let me go further and say that the Bible that many people knock as European lists the geneology and tells us that the decendents of Ham were Cush (Kush) Mizraim, Put and Canaan. (1. Chronicles 1:8-16)

Mizraim is none other than Egypt.

Anyways my tradition and culture is that of Oduduwa which goes back several civilizations..African civilization is just not about Egypt and the pyramids theres so much more maybe its more important for the Disaporans to identify with Egyptian civilization but in Africa each tribe holds on to its own....hardly those this debate occur as it occurs in the diaspora but its a good thing refuting wrongful allegations..same thing as Jesus being blond and blue eyes

I have mentioned that proof is even in the Bible that Kush was a descendent of Ham.

You're right about that. There are plenty of civilizations in other countries, not just Egypt. Take a look at marshall.edu. Type in akan art. You'll get several pages of information concerning the Akan culture, especially their fetish for gold.

DarthLord, the Greeks were white honey. Luther, you don't have to believe that they were black because they weren't. They were white. Nothing else. They were heavily influenced by ancient Egyptian culture, though.
