Default Economics - 20-03-08, 07:25 PM

This subject (as complicated as it is) is very interesting to me. Not saying that black people do not study economics, but I would like to know how many people are interested in the subject. Perhaps this could help me pass my economics test.

Does anyone know any black economists out there? According to Freakonomics there is a black economist called something Fryer.

I know this probably is irrelevant to some black issues discussed, but what economic issues/theories can be discussed in terms of black people?

Why don't you research what the economics books say in relation to the depreciation of durable consumer goods?

Um...I don't think you answered the question - if you know of any black economists out there and their work.

But anyway, what did you find out in regards to "the depreciation of durable consumer goods?" Hope it wasn't something you just copied and pasted from somewhere.

Did anyone else answer the question? I didn't intend to answer it. The Black economists I've encountered just parrot the White ones.

Economists ignore the depreciation of durable consumer goods. I noticed that in 1976. They haven't said anything about it since then. When do you hear them talk about planned obsolescence which amounts to planned depreciation?

Now we have it in computers, bloated software requiring more powerful hardware.
