this one is out of place... it should come, i think, right after Kitombo gets murdered and they have the council meeting or right before ... i'm a bit confused... it deals with Zumbi Alakechak who is the Ogun energy ... very symbolic... very... can't wait til you all see it...

It's the Brazilian film based on history called Quillombo? well i found a portion of it on the internet on You Tube... the links are above... its about Palmares which was a free, independent Afrikan nation state located in the Brazilian mountains which was composed of escaped enslaved Afrikans... they are predominantly Ifa (Yoruba) in a Portuguese imperialist environment...

i don't have the entire movie for you though... 4give... its in parts... i tried to put it together as best as i could... i have the video and can't wait til We are discussing the subtleties of Ifa included in it and in the culture and the day ... excellent film and excellent film makers in Brazil... they preserved our story elegantly and galantly...

i 4get the brotha's name but he's famous for his music in Brazil... the music from the film is exact and phenomenal... the orisa songs and prayers are exact...

also:

something i thought you might enjoy viewing...

I wanted to know if the Dagara elders could tell the diffrence between fiction and reality. The elders did not understand what a starship is, they did not understand what the fussy uniforms had to do with anything but they recognized in Spock a Kontomble of the seventh planet... they had never seen a Kontomble that big.

The name of the singer is Gilberto Gil. He is the current Minister of Culture. At one time, during the dictatorship, he was in exile, I believe, in London. He is currently well-known for his samba-reggae music style, an adpatation of reggae that took root in Brazil when Bob Marley visited, just before his death.

Below is a flyer for the dedication of a memorial to Zumbi of Palmares that was mounted in Salvador, Bahia, about two weeks.

Everyone should want to be... a Zumbi.

Dont know how this film missed my radar. Man I bleach all last night watching that. Seeing as Ive been reading alot about Palmares and the other quilombos in Brazil/ Americas it was like giving stew peas and rice to a starving man.

Respect /in every aspect..
