@ALL
I;ve been toying with an idea to make up a bubble bath thats got the aromas that I prefer. I found one, so I thought I would share it with you.
I had an empty nice short tubby empty bubble bath bottle.
So I emptied it out and washed it clean.
I bought a bottle of fragrance free baby;s bubble bath.
I tipped the baby bath into the clean bottle.
I then added a good dash of extra virgin olive oil.
I then added 10 drops of Patchouli oil
10 drops of Cinnamon oil.
10 drops of orange oil.
It has now been tried and tested by myself and its Wonderful Stuff!!
You could mix any of your favourite essential oils to the bottle of baby bath.
You will need to put more effort into cleaning the bathtub.....The only drawback!

@Black Beauty!
Ok I can tell you what I do that works for me.
For my hair/scalp I use olive oil and I add whatever essential oil I favour into the bottle. Twice a week I massage lots of olive oil into my hair...then I place my heat cap on..plug it in and relax with that for half an hour. Works a treat! You could shampoo it out the next day, but its a good idea to keep it on overnight. Just use an old pillowcase in bed to rest your oily head on.
Some good base oils for dry skin are Almond, Wheatgerm(excellent) Olive oil, Soya Bean and Apricot Kernel.
Good essential oils for dry skin are..Lavender, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Rose, Benzoin, Calendula (excellent) Rosemary and Neroli.
To make a good moisturiser for your face you could try..
Chamomile German...15drops
Sandalwood...5 drops
Bois de Rose...5 drops
Hyssop...5 drops
Place the essential oils in 30ml of the Base oil of your choice. You could also add 10 drops of evening primrose oil and 2 drops of carrot oil.
Use this as you would your normal face cream.
I know this probably seems like quite an expensive outlay at first. Remember that these oils will last you for ages and will really help the problem, so its worth it. Everything you will be using will be pure and natural. You could also use some of the essential oils I mentioned in the olive oil treatment for your hair. If your face is really dry, I would apply this face oil again at night. Dont worry about the oils making your face shiny. Dont apply too much and massage it in well. Good quality base oil will penetrate your skin well.
A good one for the eczema patches is...
10 drops of Chamomile German
5 drops of Yarrow
5 drops ofTagets..
Added to 30ml of vegetable oil
30 drops of jojoba oil
10 drops of evening primrose oil
And apply this to the area twice a day.
I have tried this on several people and it has cleared eczema up like magic!
Good Luck Sista..hope that helped

@Ijexa
No oils are known for contraceptive purposes. Old style Wise Women used a concoction of certain herbs that would bring about spontaneous abortion for an unwanted pregnancy. Pennyroyal was one of these herbs, and its practically impossible to obtain it now. Sage is also a dangerous herb/oil for pregnant women. Certain oils are known as emmanagogues which means they may create contractions of the womb. But all these things can be used After a pregnancy has already been created...not to actually prevent one in the first place.
Also I;m not aware of any oils that can help against the spread of HIV.

 Ijexa, good question. My mother told me back in her times and definetly my granny's women use to have contraception, or do things to prevent pregnancy other than asbstain. She said they would have to go and see the local healer or specialist in these things, but women use to go.
Now I have no idea what they use to give these women, or whether it actually worked. But what it does show, is that there was obviously a need. Would be interested to know if anyone knew what the details were.
@Locsgirl. Very interesting sis. Heard about women taking things to abort pregnancy, its the pre stage which is intriguing...Interesting topicniceone.gif

I dont know about that shop you mentioned. Because I;m a Therapist I get mine at wholesale prices and they;re good quality. There is an on site shop called Ampora Aromatics and their prices are good and p+p is free. But you have to spend £50 an order no less. Maybe you could share an order with some friends. Dont buy from Body Shop, their oils are not good standard. Culpeppers oils are very strong and excellent quality but they are expensive. Even if you just buy one oil for now, my choice would be Lavender. Its great for so many things. If you ever burn yourself in the kitchen...dab neat Lavender oil on the wound and it probably wont even blister. Great stuff...

clp)@All. Have to agree with Mafdet that Locsgirl definitely knows her stuff. A girlfriend of mine recommended I use lavender for preparing my room for meditation purposes and I can't speak highly enough of it, for a whole heap of reasons.
Locsgirl, keep up the execllent work. It is clearly appreciated by all. That is clear to see......

@Fredblack
Thank you for your kind words...
Yes Lavender is very soothing and calming. An oil that can bring about even deeper levels of relaxation/meditation is Clary Sage. A couple of drops of that added to your Lavender would make a difference and create an interesting aroma. Stay away from drinking any alcohol though if you do use Clary Sage...it can cause awful nightmares.
You mentioned you do a lot of study. Burning Rosemary oil helps to stimulate the ole grey matter whilst digesting information. Many students have reaped the benefit of revising for exams burning the midnight Rosemary oil!
