Well I have always clarified with my hair out and loose - rinsing with braids just wouldn't work with my thick-thick hair. I'd be scared that the build up will get trapped in my curly-coily hair.

Shulta

Thankyou. Im glad my fav's arnt on the list. Cant live without lavender baths and bergamont and ylang ylang are the best combination when Im relaxing, studying, cleaning, or doing just about anything.

You have been a great help. Google brought up so many different opinions but my fav 3 have never been on any lists!!!

Try a solution with 70% pure lemon or lime juice and 30% conditioner. You can use it in theshower to replace shampoos or use it as a clarifyerbyleaving it in your hair for 10-20 minutes once a week. I find that not only does it get rid of dirt, it also helps to restore moisture which makes it good for sensitive skin.

Oh, stay away from using 100% pure lemon juice on your hair. I tried it once thinking that it would work even better than the 70% solution. Well, it works alright but it will burn your scalp.
