As this brilliant show comes to an end today :? I just wanted to know what your favourite moments of the show were, and for the woman who reply which of the 4 characters best suits your personalities, if any?
Also, most likely lots of peeps hated the show, if so, why?
My fave moments
1. When Charlotte was having sex with this guy and befor he 'came' he says ' you f'ing bit ch , you f'ing whore'. That was so hilarious because it seemed that he couldnt bust without being abusive
2. When samantha was having sex with this reporter and he goes soft very quickly ad he's like, this has never hapopened before, phone 555-8979 and ask for angie, she'll tell you bighairlol
3. when miranda is having phone sex with this guy. he's like' i'm undoing your blouse' then she asking what next. he puts her on hold and when he returns to the phone he like ' i'm feeling up your breasts now'. So mirandas like hold on a sec, you havent undone my bra yet. Then she clocks that he is talking to somebody else. classic!!
You ever heard of the Golden Rule. He who has the gold makes the rules!
He who asks is a fool for five minutes. He who never asks remains a fool for ever.

I really dont like this show. I dont see how any man could learn Anything about women from it. I;ve never met women like those four in my life!!!
I have watched it on occasion and laughed at some funny moments. But the way they consistently sleep with man after man starts to make me feel a bit nauseous after a while. Especially Samantha...she;s just a dirty old trout.
Imagine if this lot didn;t have beauty, sophistication, and excellent professional jobs wrapped round em. Imagine if you swapped Manhatten for a bleak Northern town in England, and those four women for four ordinary working class girls. The audience would be saying "Ugh what a load of old slappers"....
Have to admit I think Carrie looks Great in her clothes....

@Locsgirl i know what you mean about swapping the characters, and how they would be seen.
but i have to say i really grew to enjoy the show, and the way in which the women maintained their strong friendships. And the way the programme is able to capture arkwardness is absolutely classic. I think these women, are just meant to be caricutures of real women, so charlotte is the hopeless romantic waiting for Mr Right (she's found him now....ahhhh), carrie is the analytical one, who never got over her real love, Miranda, career woman, slightly uptight but cool nontheless, samantha is the man eater, who only ever wanted sex, till she found real love, where she least expected it. I think alot of women can see bits of them selves in one or more of these characters. I don't think there are many woman who are exactly like any of them.
But if you saw the show on T4 - T4 loves sex and the city - there were some very usless women, trying to say they are exactly like the characters, I had to shake my head.
ireally didn't likethe way carrie dressed.
So who thinks Carrie will go back to BIG???

I love that show - will be watching tonight - My partner can't chat to me when Sex and the City's on
The best line was when Samantha was dating the black chef and his sister was cussing her out etc. At the end Carrie is doing the voiceover saying "........that was when Samantha realised it was not about her white pussy it was because so and so............ (can't remember the black guys name) was a big pussy".

What annoys me about All soaps and serials now is that we always get told how its gonna end.
I read weeks ago that Mr.Big is going to rush to Paris and rescue Carrie.
There;s no excitement any more in TV programmes. In fact you dont even need to watch the show at all, you can just read the TV Quick every week and find out whats gonna happen.

So what did everyone think of the last episode? I thought it was sweet!
At last samantha has found love, and charlotte has her baby! Carrie knows Big's name and Miranda well, Miranda is Miranda! banana.gif
Did you see the programme before it? That was a nice touch to see them all talking about it!

I'm amazed at the number of black women who watch sex in the city. it's a show which represents sluttish white women, who feel that empowerment comes by sleeping around the way men do. I mean please, which black woman actually identifies with those women. I know I dont. The show isn;t realistic and it only represents a small minority of women. I say good riddance to bad rubbish.

The women get empowerment from their friendships, and that gives them the strength to go out there and find love, but in the meantime, they have lots of sex!
Each to their own, some people like it, some don't.Its just like Eastenders and coranation st, not many black people can relate to any of the characters, but they still enjoy it!I thought it was a good programmeclp). I think alot of black women that watched it, related mostly to the friendships between the women, and all the nonsense that can happen when you are trying to find Mr Right!

I am in agreement with Mafdet on this one. The Author of Sex in the City worked for many years in the Publication “Vanity Fair this is the same magazine that Toby Young, the Evening Standard journalist, worked for and was inspired to wrote “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People which provides a humorous account of being a Brit in Manhattan society.
The environment of “Vanity Fair is one of pure feminist neurosis where the women’s suppressed desires of men are confined being Tran gendered in respect of attempting to behave like men in a predatory fashion, with the stereotypes of commitment phobias grafted on to Women.
They in reality are the “lost generation of Women who was sold the post feminist crap of the 60’s 70’s of burning your bra and being on “equal terms as a man. For them “Equal Terms meant identical roles and aspirations as men – Career, Power, Fame and promiscuity. With the total abandonment of “traditional Female stereotypes. The net result of this generation is the delaying of having children over career and climbing the corporate ladder. The problem for them is that such at the point of realising that the Feminism of yesteryear was outdated – meant that many are on the clasp of infertility, and also having to compete with much young prettier and post feminist savvy Women of today.
To me the whole programme is a deconstruction of family and moral values reduced to an orgy of masculine fantasy – of promiscuous women – fused with feminine consumerist materialism. In short Fu*k up. It portrays to me a dying breed of Women who “Have or Had it all and did not know what to do with it, so they are now venting their “Power on having as much Sex and Shopping as their “successful careers can allow them.
The moral code is an adulation of an unattainable Adonis in a fag hag fashion (Nearly all of the Authors male colleagues at “Vanity Fair were Gay).
The idea of equality along different roles has existed for centuries amongst African society with is not entirely in conflict with the demands of modernity in present day society.
[font="Times New Roman"][size=3]They may well as, has been mentioned, include a Black Man in the series as this would only reinforce the stereo typical desires of Western White Women in the context of politically correct lines of the ethnicity of choice but the real challenge for SITC would to be to place an African – African American amongst the Spinsters as here interpretation of combining a successful career, middle class élan , sexuality – including self confidence in the feminine form and parenthood whether single or married would – be far superior and advanced than her Anglo American counterparts
