@BS

Bro I think youre being a bit unfair.

What else you expect a bunch of women in one place to talk about. Ever been in a room with pure women talkingwoman topics? "My hair/ my nails/ shopping/ whos got big feet/ etc etc."

Can you stay in that environment for long?

I suggest Black women are no less frivolous/shallow than other women in the West.

The mens forum isnt nothing to write home about either.

@B.S
I'm sorry... but is this site some kinda competition to see who will win brownie points for preaching about black issues & the history of black people... OH PLEASE!!!
If you wanna take it there then why do you men feel the need to put posts like:

Razor Bumps
Nice body, ugly face
The prettiest black celebrity
Nice feet

To be honest those are male issues... which is why it's called the "black men's forum"!!!!

Why is it that we should constantly walk around preaching the history of slavery & be thinking about deep issues 24/7? I'm sorry, but I have a life, and me & my friends don't sit down discussing black issues sun up sun down... that would make me a very uptight individual. Your kind of negative thoughts of who is more intellectual than the next is what's holding some black people behind.

@ Burning Spear

First off, a male started the ladies and escorting, and we had quite a few number of posts locked because of some males posting things like: do you like lite skinned girls and things of that nature.

Are you that shallow to rule out that ALL black women on this thread shallow?

Did you mean some women? I have to defend some smart comments I've seen from women. And the men here gave some pretty decent comments as well. But, the guys put up as much non-sense as the ladies, and it was SOME, not ALL.

What is your purpose for putting this up? Ask those individuals that put up disturbing posts if they are shallow.

BS how can you shout out any kind of thread as being 'shallow' when you yourself have STARTED some shallow topics over on the mens forum (Yes, women can click on that link too!!) did you really think you could get away with this thread and not be called on that?!?!? plus as someone else quite rightly pointed out, some of those topics you mentioned were started by men. And other topics that may seem 'shallow' to you may have relevance for WOMEN, hence them being in the WOMENS forum!! I bet you are one of those dudes who just say "uhm hmm, hmm" and "yes dear" and buries his head in a newspaper when his woman is talking to him, ergo any female centred topic seems shallow to you because you have a shallow understanding of women!!!

YOU ARE NOT DEFINED BY OTHER PEOPLES\' OPINION OF YOU!! ;0)

BS I it's funny you should say that, because on alot of other forums they spend alot of time (almost alltheir time) insulting and talking about celebrities. And Black net does that but not to an overwhelming degree. Secondly most forums have a sector about fashion, grooming hair care, just so poeple can share knowledge with others, who tackle similer situations. For instance the hair weave thread, thats just girl talk. Oral sex, what's wrong with that people have sex,they want to share their views on controversial issues. Oh I'm black but...boyfriend'. Thay lady may have needed some support and a way of venting, with poeple that don't know her.She asked for help and the question was legitimate. 'I'm hated...black'Racism should never be ignored and brushed under the carpet. Mixed race beauty. Well yeah***scratching head*** Your probaly right on that one.

But in generalI don't think we're a shallow site. I'vebeen to sites where they ask for a woman to have sex with and some weed and that's their opening statments to posters.
