My mother has always told me never to marry a short man as she thinks their too sneaky
I don't know if she's had bad experiences with short men but she seems very set against me marrying one :?

i like short men but being pretty leggy myself, i wouldn't go out with someone shorter than me. but i always see fine brothas and i'm like "dang, he fine but he too short for me!"
i think alot of women prefer taller guys because they look more like protectors...

LOL Nigerian princess.
I have no problem with short men, as long as they are not shorter than me! LOL
For me height is a big part of the attraction with men.

here is my reason........................I am already overpowering in persona......................to be so while looking down at a man is the ultimate death in any relationship.

LOL DM - mate first of all i aint 6ft! I am between 510 and 511! And its all relative.
My friend is 6 ft, so a man of 6 ft is short too her, but not to me! And a woman of 6ft5 would think a man of 6'3 is short!
So like i said i don't mind 'short' men as long as they aint shorter than me!
LOL - yeah man i date short men, as long as they are not shorter than 6ft!
haghahahahah
don't mind me.

I take your point and yes it is relative but then you have to consider average (mean) heights.
I have never met a 6'5 woman LOL... I dont dispute they exist, Ive seen the WNBA in america but in your daily life 6' women are not even common.
Most women are about 5'5 to 5'8I think, they fall into that sort of height range. So you in anybody books are a tall woman.
Most men are probably 5'9 to about 6'2 so me at 6' am average. There are many people shorter than me and many taller but most about my height.
You see what I mean?
You at 5'11 are a tall woman, so saying you have no probs with short men as long as they are not shorter than you... The short man is 5'9 and below. So ALL short men are shorter than you LOL...
Personally at 6' myself I couldnt be with a chick taller than me. I mean if she was extra special it could slide but not something im looking for. How can man look UP at his woman? All tip toes to kiss her HA HA HA

I'm a small girl: 5ft 2 and UK size 10 (US size 6) so I like tall men because of the the whole protector thing plus (and I know this will cause offence) if I went out with a short guy and we were going to get married I would not like to think that my children would be short. My fiancee is 6ft and quite big so we do look a bit funny together and I have to tip toe to kiss him but I like to know that he can defend me. I know a short man probably could toobut when your a little girl you always imagine when yougrow upyour manshouldbe a lot taller than you. I've been to places like concerts where I have been shoved out of the way by people bigger than me and my man always shoves them back or makes sure there's room for me and its a nice feeling to know he can do that.

DM- You beat me to it, as soon as I read MBD's post, I was going to ask her what she meant by short as she is tall, yes tall.........I have seen you before.............haven't I?.
5'10 or 5'11 is not short for a Man
Anyone who is 6ft or over is automatically a tall man. You could say that 5'9- 511 is average, but they are definitely not short.
MBDs I understand what you are saying about someone being short in your eyes even though theymaybethe same height as you, that tells me you don't like short men.
