Hi. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has found a make of hair that does not tangle or 'matt up' after a few hours. I wear my weaves long, and when i leave the salon they look real fine. But a few days later they start tangling and matting up if i wear it loose. I comb and brush my hair around 6 times each day just to stop it tangling! I'm sure the celebs don't have this problem with their weaves. Is there a 'make' of hair out there that doesn't tangle and feels soft and smooth? At the moment I'm using Premimum Now Sensational, Silky Straight. Thanks girls.

If you have anytpe of synthetic hair in your head it will tangle up regardless if you leave it at night but if you spray it with oil sheen or this moisterizer for wigs, it will detangle it. Lucky for me I do all of those weaves and braids but i like human hair the most, either yaki perm straight or bone straight. Yaki gets nappy quicker but just tye it up at night and spray with oil sheen or whatever and it will be fine. Combing weaves only makes it more nappier so you better off spraying him, comb gently and then finger your hair to style or a wide tooth comb.
Please my weaves be looking way better then some of these celebrities i see. I use to look at lil kim on stage like you got on all that name brand on and you hair looks chopped. She probably spent like $1000 for that crap when i could of did it for her for $50 and it would look 100% better because Im a perfectionist. Sisters I see on T.V. is stepping it up noways because before, there weaves use to look horrible but now, its look much better.
To believe is to have doubt and no facts but to know is to have facts and no doubt.

tits not aobut the price of the weave its the way u wear it and apply it.
Am sorry many Uk sisters out there have no clue on how to wear a weave. jsut looks bogus and rinks of glue.
Sometimes some sisters weaves are tiltin to the left. like jayz wearing His Ny baseball Hat.
lol certain sister need to fix up.or dont even wear em at all if oyu can rock em right.

Hi guys
I used to wear a lot of weaves last year. Please visit www.blackhairmedia.com if you want advice in the weaves forum sections. The ladies are excellent and tracy and weaveitup are excellent.
Tips-
- forget about beauty shop hair. Premium Now is human hair but its the second best you can get from sensationnell ( dont even think about Premium too). I had the same problem with it, I had to walk with a brush and it would tangle like mad. It didnt look right. Thats why I stopped wearing them
- My advice: order some Remy hair ( thats extra virgin) off the net for about 100 dollars a packet. You can reuse it and it doesnt tangle. If you can afford it indian hair from myindianhair is what the celebrities use. Me? I cant be bothered to spend that money so I stopped wearing weaves cause I am a Virgo and my hair has to be perfect. I do micro braids with the same weave hair and it looks much much much better.
- also dont grease out your weave. And even if you do all of the above, take it out in 4 weeks.

My hair is naturally long and very thick. I never wear weaves, relaxers or perms. I only geta press and curl. At the salon, my hair when straighthened is almost down to my waist now. Black women always make comments on how beautiful it is.

I am not even tryin to be rude but why would you come onto this forum (which is basically askin for other black women who kno about weave - whether it has been on their own head or they just kno about thru another sista - for advice on good weaves and so on) simply to say you hav never worn weaves and people tell u your hais is beautiful? Im sure you hav beautifula hair but still ur post woz quie frankly pointless...

cause despite her name, she aint black.... no black women get a 'press and curl' , dead giveaway.
And I also co-sign I dont get your point about your hair being up to your waist. I ammixed portuguese, my hair at one point was 18 inches long and I WEAR weaves! I didnt think that the length of my hair is relevant to this post, a lot of us black women wear weaves for versatility, not just length.
I wish ur arse get lice!

Said it on another thread, beati collection is tangle free but only if u go forblack hair. My hair is black and brown and it still tangles. I try not to comb/brushmyhairtoo much so I will just run my fingers through it to separate the ends. Using a straightener and a good hairsheen will help keep it smooth and sleek

Ur best bet is to use New yaki Platinum Human, its the best. The best way to maintain it us to use strightners and to maintain the texture, use a braid sheen African Pride is the best (none oily) u can use it on weave and extensions, it works wounders.
They also do a shampoo. which you can spray on your head and then wash off wid water, that helps 2.
Oh and make sure that you sleep wid a head scuf, as the bedsheets and stufff make your own hair and extensions matty.
Don't use any greasey stuff on weaves as well, like stuff that u would normally put in your hair as it causes build up.
