Hello everyone,

Just wanted to pick your collective brains with a problem I have been trying to solve for months now. I have long relaxed hair which is originally very dry and frizzy but not quite full afro as I'm mixed-race. Now that it is relaxed it goes straight with not a lot of effort, but I do have to blow dry it everytime I wash it. I know how damaging this is and recently decided to have my hair curly sometimes to cut down on the blow drying. The only problem is if I let it dry naturally it goes totally frizzy and straw-like no matter what product I put in it. Does anyone elsehere have a similar problem? I'm just hoping there is a product out there that will work on wet hair so it doesn't frizz up completely. I have tried serums, waxes, oils and creams; coconut oil is the best so far but I still cant just leave it to dry without having to either blow dry it, in which case it goes straight, or putting it in those bendy stick things, which I always think is ridiculous as my hair is actually really curly when its very wet! It's just as it dries that it goes insane!

If anyone has any product recomendations, I would be eternally grateful!

Cheers

Lillu xxx

you might have to use a texturizer. I heard it was suppose to be similar to a relaxer, but i don't know. They are both damaging anyway.

Make sure you do good in this life, so that way you will have a second life.

Redken Fresh Curls "Spin Control" might help -- it's a curl defining leave-in conditioner. I also use it as a styling product on my hair (which is a combination of loosewaves and curls). It leaves my hair silky and glossy, andhelps my wavy areas to curl up.

Using a diffuser on your blow dryermight also help to keep your curls intact.

• Moisturize daily with close attention to the last 2-3 inches and ends of hair. I alternate between ORS olive oil and Dabur Vatika oil for my daily water-based moisturizer. I now add "S-curl no drip" to both of them. Works like a charm! I usually use mango butter or some oil (almond, carrot, olive, vitamin E mix) on ends to seal in my water-based moisturizer.
