The chaos of the bombings around London didn't stop an English couple from kissing for most of the day.
James Belshaw and Sophia Severin spent 31 hours and 30 minutes with their lips locked, as they pursued what may be a world record for the world's longest, uninterrupted kiss.
The couple, who have been dating for three years, kept on kissing after the four bombs exploded on Thursday morning, including one blast on a bus less than two kilometres away at Tavistock Place. They ended their kiss 6.45pm (0345 AEST)on Thursday at the Plaza Shopping Centre on Oxford Street.
Under the rules, their lips had to remain in contact at all times and they could not sit down or be supported by anyone. They were fed through straws and had to use the bathroom together.
