Do you know if these are good for your hair? So far I haven't had a problem with it, but my beautician told me that these are bad for my hair. I haven't had much of a problem with it because my hair comes out soft and nice to touch after I use it. What do you all think?

Ithink it depends moreon the ingredients in the brand you buy...things like mineral oil are not good for the hair-because they coat them...but other than that I dont see a problem with using them. Especially to deep condition.

Hello all, for me cholesterol is good and makes your hair strong and shiny. Maybe the type of hair you have dosen't benifit from it but i know cholestrol and similiar products are good becauseit gives hair some of the moisture it needs. Its not really for every day use, more like once every week or two with heat or a cap to deep condition.

Lol, no it's not "fat". It's more of a protein conditioner that's in a really thick, creamy constintency that supposed to make your hair healthy and strong.

If you all do use cholesterol conditioners, what kind do you use?

I like dark n lovely, pink oil and optimum cholesterol. It be other conditioners with different purposes like one for growth or another for dry hair and stop breakage. They have all kinds really.

I think I'm going to try cholesterols for deep conditioning rather than the hair mayonnaise.

Whatever ya'll do, DO NOT use Silk Elements cholesterol conditioner. I haven't had any good experiences with this cholesterol conditioner. It leaves a lot of filmy residue. I'm definitely gonna have to toss this in the garbage.

i just find it a good conditioner.
sorry cant give a better review than that.
though i do prefer keracare conditioner. because you can really feel how much the hair has been conditioned and my hair being natural it just agrees with it

it's good, but only if your hair requires heavy moisturizers, and even then a little goes a long way, but make sure not to rub it into your scalp while conditioning if you're concerned about growing your hair out. I've found that hair mayonnaise seems to be a lighter version of cholesterol b/c it contains some cholesterol among other ingredients.

Why aren't you supposed to rub it into your scalp? Does it stunt your hair growth or something?
