Ladies, and Gentlemen, this skincare range is one of the best kept secrets out there. Sample the luxurious lotions and Butters, soaps, body scrubs,Facial creams and one of my personal favourite their African Black soap facial scrub, Body mists(ladies, the smell of these ones will drive even your priest WILD )and 100% Organic Shea Butter oil. And whats more,Its 100% black ownedniceone.gif
It caters for oily, mature and sensitive skins, and ALL their products contains shea butter oil, but do not worry about the smell. I have yet to find so many products that smell as devine as the Nubian Natural Skincare range.
They have a new shop in Brixton at:3Vining Street, Brixton SW9 8QA
Tel:0207 733 8277
Give them a ring and they will gladdly explain the direction, you won't miss the shop, its like one of those small but cute Chelsea boutiques.
Here isthe website so you cancheck outthe products, and for those of you outside London, you can order through the website.
http://www.nubiannatural.com/
Basicaly this is our equivalent of the Body Shop.....althoughtobe honest i would say thatNubian products are WAY better than theBody Shop onesand they are made for OUR skin typesby our people.....so what more can you ask for?
Lets keep up with our promise of buying black and uplifting our communities.....Happy shopping everyoneniceone.gif

I have been using a few of their products and they are great.
It would be good if people could also give reviews on the products they have tried...or at least on their favourite product (s)...*hint hint@Mez*

Honey&Brown Sugar Body Scrub:
I have only used this once. Though I like the smell, I don't think it will be to everyone's taste...it does actually smell like sugar (which makes sense because it IS sugar) and iced tea.
The effect of the product is brilliant. The scent actually improves once using it in the shower and it left my skin feeling baby soft.
Honey&BrownSugar Body Wash:
Fantastic! It smells like honey: sweet and intoxicating. The consistency is slightly thinner than commercial shower gels and body washes, but do not be fooled a little truly does go a long way. It is creamy and the smell is heavenly in the shower. It left my skin feeling soft and smelling great.
Honey&Black Seed Lotion.
Because of the nature of my skin I LOVE thick lotions. The consistency of this lotion is excellent. Though it is thick, it is not greasy and absorbs well into the skin. I like to use a lot of cream on one part of my body and I cream everything so I ordered the large bottle. Yet again the smell is great-but not to everyone's taste (my friend preffered the smell for a hair product). It smells similar to the Honey&Brown Sugar Body wash, but not as strong and this scent has a hint of vanilla (though I'm not sure if they even used Vanilla in this product).
I did try to use this on my face, but my skin is even more sensitive there and very fussy and it did not like it all. So I went back to using the Oats and Aloe lotion-which is great for people who do not like creams with a strong scent.
*Edited to say: I went back to using theoats and aloe on my face, not my body-I'm sticking with the oh so wonderful Honey&Black Seed for that!
Oh and about time they opened a shop in South London. Ihave used their soaps before but had to travel all the way toEast London and that was long!

Yeah so what? Can't a guy be interested in soft and supple skin that's smooth to the touch as well? Not all of us have ship builders hands you know.

There are those who feel that the only way to ‘prove their own worth’ is by ‘devaluing the worth of others’. You will often find that a man who is compelled to measure his substance against the substance of another, has little of substance in the first place!

Thanks for that Mezmerized sounds lovely I've had been looking for sone decent stuff for my skin so I'll check it out.
Is it expensive though? I can never find anything good for my face I have sensitive skin but by pours tend to get clogged up and sometimes it feels like it just needs a good wash. Things like tea tree oil from the body shop are too strong, vitimin face wash from their is too moisterising and it doesnt feel very clean afterwards.
Watch me though going on like your a dermatogolist! sorry
Any ideas?
I use body shop Brazil nut cream so if they have anything along that line it would be great. Would you recommend some of there creams for children?

They were selling the soaps ina Black/African bookstore near Dalston station...I'm not sure of the exact location you would have to ask DM for that. (At the time they only had the soaps-not sure if they sold anything else from the Nubian Heritage range).
