Hey Ladies
I've recently become a bit of a health nut and after looking at some of the ingredients in my hair care products, I'm not best pleased! Anyyway, skin care is taken care of cos I use Nubian Naturals but I know some of you ladies are very creative with home made stuffs so anything from face masks, hair oils, moituristers, spritzes etc... anything you know that can be made at home and its 100% natrual, let me know what ya got!
Oh also, I keep hearing about this no poo method with hair. what the hell is this?
P:S- I'm not just after hair care stuff. Any skincare stuff etc would be fantastic too niceone.gif

I usually use a mixture of clear honey with finely chopped/blended parsley mask for my face and neck (a bit messy so do it when you’re relaxing in the bath).
For eye mask I use grated raw potatoes mixed with cucumber juice or water, soak two cotton pads in the mixture and apply to eyes while chilling in the tub listening to your favourite tunes. You can leave both the face and eye mask as long as you like. When done clean off with hot cloth, rinse with cold water, tone and moisturize face and neck as usual.
100% natural, cheap and very easy to make
For my hair I use Nubian natural shampoo and scalp serum as hot oil treatment. The leave in conditioner is great too.

Parsley is meant to be quite effective at removing blackheads. Its adviced that you apply the mixture to yourT-Zone areawhich is usually the most clogged twice a week.

Deep Conditioner
Mix 1/2 cup Olive oil and 1/4 cup Honey.. Warm until they are melted together (not boiling or very hot!)
Apply to hair and scalp , Cover with plastic shower cap
Sit under a hooded drier (or heat a towel in the microwave and wrap it aroundyour head) for about 15-20mins
Then rince out with warm water.
I do this every 2 weeks on natural/ loced hair but it should be o.k on relaxed/texturised hair also.
Leaves your hair soft n shiney niceone.gif

As a face mask for oily or combination skin, try mixing banana with a teaspoon of honey and a few drops of pure lemon juice. It works like a charm.

No poo' basically means no shampoo.
Its where you use a conditioner instead of a shampoo when washing your hair.
A few people use this methodbecause of the harsh ingredient'sfound in shampoo's.
I have tried this before when my hair was natural , but still had to use a shampoo now and again because conditioners dont really help to get rid of dead skin and help with itchy scalp..

But there is one other thing to try if youwant to use a naturalshampoo,
You could try Black Soap ( 100% Natural from West Africa) this can be used on the skin for spots, blemishes and some skin problemsor diluted with warm water can also be used as a shampoo.
Here is what the Black Soap looks like http://www.akuawood.co.uk/alata.shtml, Its really good for the skin/scalp
