Agreed. After dark I aint got no business on road. If I need to go out I drive, if I dont need the car, then it's all about sticking to well lit areas, full of people. Cannot trust any one these days.
Before I had the car, if I needed to go out late (shops) I would dress up so manish - baggy trousers, hoods, trainers to avoid any possible attention, problem was I then looked suspect to the police. My primary fear of crime has always been sexual ones. God forbid oh. Hence, I aint got no business on road after dark.
God determines who walks into your life...It's up to you who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go. May God bless all of you and your life be full of Peace, Prosperity, Love and Abundance. Amen

@blessingfromgod
You an me both - if I got to leave my yard after dark then its in the car, otherwise, forget it.
I think sexual crime is my main fear, although I was mugged a four years ago by a crack head who left me a bit battered - He was trying to drag my buggy away and screaming for money, I threw my bag at him and told him to please just take it, hadnt bargained for him having no fear that my screams might alert someone and he went through it there and then. When he saw I only had about a tenner in loose change, he lost it. I consider myself to be pretty lucky that a bunch of brothers from the barber shop across the road heard the commotion and came to my aid. I was very very shocked and covered in bruises. The police were pretty unsympathetic and he received no prison sentance, or rehab or anything like that - just a slap on the wrist and he was free to go. It probably sounds ridiculous but that hurt, as I dont think I had ever been so scared in my whole life, at the time I really thought he would hurt my son, who incidently slept through the whole thing.
Hence I am extremely cautious and aware of my personal safety these days.

I'm a man and even I don't feel 100% safe on the streets at night - and I can easily knock someone out with the quickness - but most times I'm in the car anyway. What I don't get is women who chat away loudly on their mobiles at 3am and walk at a slow pace through parks/alleys/side roads etc like they're on the beach or something.

I've never really had a sense of fear walking street at night, I know I should but I don't. I mean I have my headphones on listenin to music at night, I've even worn sunglasses at night. I'm a crazy chick anyway so if I do start to feel uneasy I'll start skipping down the road, or dancing. I make sure I cover myself in prayer as well, so it's like God is my invisible bodyguard.

@ Lullaby
That story is deep, thank God it wasn't worse. One time I had some fool creep up behind me on a bike and try grab the phone from my ear while I was talking. I got a scratch on my face, one next guy on the other side of the road saw what happened and walked me the rest of the way home. I mean it shook me up for a hot minute and that was it. Tru I ain't got no car and I travel far to certain places every week I don't get home till late, I guess I've grown accustomed to the streets at night.
