The longhaircareforum is a wonderful site. I've read and learned a lot of things about hair over there. It's too bad it's not only a natural only site like nappturality, which is very good.

I've heard good things about it too, I should go on there a bit more.

I've kinda got my hair care routine down pat (moisture, moisture and more moisture, lol)

but I will go in there a bit more just to pick up tidbits

What tips have you found particularly useful from that longhaircare?

If you dont think its a contribution, fine......but others may actually be unaware of th evast wealth of info etc on youtube if they search "afro haircare" . The links I am aware of were altready posted by you.....

Searching the site "afro haircare" like I suggested, brings up a wealth of information from washing, combing, twisting, product, plaiting, extensions, homemade hair recipes etc for natural hair.........too much to provide links to all of them.

Its not really something to take offense over..........lol

I'm not natural yet. But it's a good thing I know some good tips from that site on haircare for when I do. I learned about baggying to protect the ends. I learned about hair oils from India that were great for growth, thickness, and sheen. Protein treatments and sealing the cuticle for shine. The list goes on.

I don't take offense, but I am amazed that you'd think in this day and age people wouldn't know that? I know I could go onto youtube just as I knew I could do a google search. A link would help

The baggy method!!! I love that - it's one of my favourites. I haven't done it in a minute though so Imma try and do that again.
Which indian air oils have you heard of? The only one I know about is Alma oil which I thought was okay but nothing special.

Sisterlocks website is good. I am going to get my done, hopefully this year. You can still style your hair in sisterlocks. You can put a bun, wash & set, or even twist or braids. It is kind of expensive though.
www.sisterlocks.com

This hair style is growing everywhere. There is a trainee in Italy that will be a certified stylist and consultant soon.
