women have to stop complaining about the lack of "real men" while promoting the effeminization of them.
Think women have their ideas on what a, ''real man'' is just a little bit crossed with what we'd interpret it to be. .lol.

Wonder how they'd feel if that, ''real man'' threatened their femininity in some way, you're all claiming that its good to have a man who can do this and that but what if he were to do it better than you, if your daughter would rather daddy did her hair because he can do that funky twisty curl you've never been able to do AND he could cook, iron --ins girly stuff-- better than you?

Different story then I bet.... he'd be gay rather than secure in his masculinity all of a sudden. .lol.

hmmmm

S

i am not convinced by your argument, it is not consistent, okay let me simplfiy it for you

define to me masculanity, and then colate the concept with man doing hair.

i think from then we can move forward to the next step of debate.

here is an example just to get you started.

masculainty for me is someone who can provide and protect xyz, hence that is why roles are defined so that males can fulfil the roles such as working , being physically stronger.

over to you sir....think deep!

Anyway, Shemsi, I don't see any problem with your uncle doing his wife's and daughters' hair. My dad used to do my hair when I was young. Also he used to sport an afro so when I decided to go natural, he's the one I went to when I needed tips on detangling and stuff. If he was styling a grown man's hair though that would be another thing.
I like the spiderman avatar.

Gonna go look for me one.

No, the woman would be petty. As are many men when it comes to doing things a woman is supposed to do or when they realise a woman can use a drill better or drive better than they can for example. All petty nonsense.

My man can cook better than I can, and I can put up wallpaper better than he can - so what. Those two things do not define who were are as people, it doesn't matter who does what as long as the food tastes good and the house looks criss. My femininity is not defined by how well I cook or canerow. Nor do I call any mans masculinity into question if he does not know how to unblock the kitchen sink.

nothing wrong with it some of the best hairdressers are men, black men at that.

there is an male african stylist in croydon and does weaving and braiding. when you go to the afro hair & beauty show in alexandra palace there are black male stylists doing hair as well.

look how many white male hairdressers they are, not all of them are gay.

i visited a college the other day and i was having a tour of the fashion department and there was a young black male sewing clothes on a sewing machine. he was the only male in the room.

i think its a black culture thing to frown upon men doing 'feminine' jobs.

nothing wrong with it if thats what you want to do, you may have a natural talent.
