Hi there everyone just needed to reach out to you and you because I feel so alone right now. I've recently moved to Cape Town (South Africa) on what was supposed to be a good career move but damn its cold and I'm so alone, I keep asking myself if it was worth it as I don't know anyone here aside from my work colleagues and after 5pm they have their own lives to live and I go home to an empty flat. I've always been surrounded by friends and never felt I have to have a man but now I yearn for a man's touch and companionship I don't understand what's happening to me...............I've never been the religious type but recently I've found myself praying for a man it sounds pathetic I'm digusted with myself but that is how I feel. For some reason I cannot relate to the guys down here and I find myself thinking about my ex who I dumped before coming here....... can anyone relate? Help me get over this.

Yep,totally relate. The sad thing is I'm surrounded by friends and family and feel the same way.
I've been ill and it's times like this you just want to be cuddled and loved.

Have you just got there? Winter is just starting there and it's not the best time, but believe me in a few months you are going to have such a good time! It's a beautiful place.
Funny thing is, my ex lives in Cape Town, he'd show you a good time... On all counts! But seriously, if you need a fellow UK person to talk to and you are strong enough not to fall for his lines I'll pass his email address on to you.

Try going to a salsa class. They are usually very friendly and you can go alone and get to know people.

Try not to stay in the house all the time. I know it's cold, but if you're getting paid uk rates, you're on a good whack so go to dinner in John Dorys. Have breakfast in Mugg and Bean with a paper. Look for things you can do indoors. PM me if you like, I'm the queen of doing things alone.
