This event has featured in 'New Nation' newspaper and been mentioned on Choice FM. It has also been advertised on various websites. However, rather unsurprisingly there is a higher number of men than women attending!!

HOW DOES A 'LOCK & KEY PARTY' WORK?

Ladies are issued with a padlock and gentlemen are issued with a key. The idea is to match a key to a padlock.

If you make a match, you are entered into a prize draw, which is conducted at the end of the evening. However, you will also be issued with another lock or key, and the fun starts all over again! So, it's a fantastic ice-breaker and you'll be able to meet many singles in one night!

I'm female and I will be going. My friend asked me to post this for her, she had to cancel her last event as all the ticket holders were men - literally!

We were both surprised 'cos we keep on hearing and reading that tired old moaning about there being no good black men (yawn!) - yet here she was having handpicked some decent men - (e.g. an amiable, family-orientated investment banker), and there were no women to mop them up! Perhaps, cynicism has won out!

I think the price is very reasonable as well, and even if you don't find the right man, you can build up your network of friends/contacts, which could then lead to the right man (I believe in optimism

So, will you be coming? Go on, give my friend a call

Organising an event on the day of the Champions League final is not really a good look if you are hoping for good male attendance

No I won't be going. I'm not single but to be honest I wouldn't go to a dance and expect to hook up with a man if I was single (those days are long gone LOL).
