So I've been reading this book called Confessions of a Video Vixen by Karrine Steffans and was wondering what the general opinion was, about her and how she has has made her success. Basically, she slept around with famous black singers, athelets, actors,rappers and the list goes on. Then she wrote a book exposing them and their werid sexual adventures. From what I've learned through blogs, people, especially the black community, are not impressed. Personally I think it's grimey the way she reveals secrets for her own success but that's my opinion.

Is it just me or do others think people will do ANYTHING for money? I mean its hard enough living in the world without people futher demeaning black women. Why cant we all just rise above this crap and respect ourselves.

Lot of chicks did a lot of freaky stuff with entertainers and ended up with nothing but stories.....superhead at least got some sort of compensation

her second book didn't do well in terms of numbers..so her 15 minutes of fame(or imfamy) are almost over

Hopefully she will put off other impressionable girls from entering the music biz as video ho's because they will know its not at all glamourous and very seedy. Having worked in music myself (for a major) and being propositioned for what appeared to be a four-way by an R&B group (something a black female journalist actually agreed to do a couple of days before - I was reliably informed by a well known black woman) I would not get with one of those nasty rappers or R&B singers or musicians fullstop - not even for a blank cheque where i could write my own figure. Full of disease - go to the Panache Report online, there are many singers/rappers/actors who now shun the limelight and end up on 'where are they now' lists because their hiding their health status. Superhead must be carrying a WMA level of bugs now.

women in entertainment leverage sex into all types of things.....jobs, referrals, money...


if you're promiscuous and already going through all these dudes....hey.....
pimp the public's interest and write a book.....why not?


if the man who supplies jewels and watches to rappers can become famous.......and leverage that into high profile and higher fees.......then it was a matter of time before the groupie to the stars became a celeb........


if you're gonna be doing something anyway......get paid....

let's be clear......she didn't love or even like any of these guys......or even feel attracted to them physically.......she was out there with them because they are celebs.

nah....people laugh at reggie bush every day......

I'm old enough to remember when nude photographs of Miss America Vanessa Williams almost ruined her life and her career......now sex tapes make you famous....and more bankable....


superhead had already appeared in a an adult film....so it was really in her best interest to try capitalize financially from her fame(or infamy)....while people cared enough
