This occurs alot in movie cinema.... Black versions of Dracula are Blacula and Vampire In New York, Mehki Phifer stars in a black version of Shakespeare's Othello(although the original version already had a black character), and recently there was a movie called G a remake of the original classic The Great Gatsby also based on a book.
