Hmm...I just read the two chapters 'Egypt & Black domination' I thought both were interesting in regards to who HE choose not to reference in the Endnotes..... I also thought it was interesting that this is essentially a reworking of history to legitimise the bible.....

I am not comfortable with his retelling of our development to that of Adam....and by definition Blacks being dsecended from Ham.. it for me, buys into the nonsense of blacks being cursed and by defacto it our fault fir being slaves....that apart i found no credible evidence that would make me believe his version of events,

I also thought that the endorsement were a bit of a swizz....to put it politely...

2000 years of backwardness?

I don't want to read it just for that alone

Just reading the first question is enough for me not to even entertain that follishness. What 2000 years of backwardness in reverence to who and what? By which yardstick.. community organsation/ role of women in society/ living within environment means. Man its no differenet to the Spanish speaking of Gunaches of Grand Canbry island being in the stone age.. yet within 100 years they had rendered rich volcanic soil which is traditional good for acriculture/ usless through use of fertilisers. Not to mention serial genocide practiced which almost goes unoticed nowaydays by mainstream historians.

Thees brothers seem to me to have low self esteem I mean Are we descended from “Kunta Kinteh” or from kings? . So what kunte kinteh didnt live within a kingdom. Sounds like a Christainised idiot.

Im not so sure about the authors real positioning, as i havent read the book, however i do advocate this type of analysis. (Maybe using a better choice of words perhaps without immediately iscolating the potential audience; re-backwardness)

Rest assured you cant ask these type of searching questions without offending some people, clearly, however sometimes its necessary to do so in order to identify weaknesses and strengths, eliminating one and inceasing the other. Definately have felt for sometime now that as a community its important that were self critical and analyitical to determind what are real obstructions and ones which we possibly create ourselves.

Self analysis I can live with. But not half baked attempts that have no propoer analysis of the facts or try to reinterpret them in a Biblical setting and justfy his beliefs. All poeple like him do is confuse serious issues and leave people in more confusion. Its a wanking exercise.
