I'm not, ''selling out'' or anything like that but none of the other islanders seem to have it, in fact I can't think of any of our African brothers or sisters who have the same all out, escaltive, bad mind temper as we seem to.
Did they really drop off the badass Africans they couldn't handle on the island? Why aren't the other islanders like us in that way...? The Haitians fought back before we did not even the South Americans are as bad as us in the way we are/can be.
Was a bit of a brawl in the pub last night, a few idiots got kicked out and started on the pub owner chatting about murder this one murder that one saying they wanted to come back in the week and get him.... because they brought in drinks from the shop and got kicked out. Typical escaltive JA type of confrontation, guys were weak, too much chat beating up some old pub owner like that made me vex , but its exactly that nothing to all out war temperment I'm talking about here.
Are we particually bad?

You are dead right Black Lion, there is a very clear problem today. This "new" mentality has been a feature over the last few decades. If you study what has gone in Jamaica over this period it reflects itself amongst the Jamaican community abroad. In Jamaica, a rapid de-politicisation process has taken place in Jamaica at the heart of which is the corruption of the leadership in Jamaica. It has given rise to an anti-culture with a corresponding outlook amongst certain sections. This has been "exported" and reflects itself abroad. In Jamaica today, the latent hostility in day to day social relations expresses itself very clearly in the chronic crime rate.
To prove my point, there has not been a single murder in the Maroon town of Accompong, St Elizabeth/Trelawny for over 20 years whilst less than 30 miles away towards Montego Bay, some of the worst homicides are now taking place. Why? The main reason is the political awareness based on the continuity of Maroon traditions and culture. Such places are not in the politically corrupt orbit.
