That may be funny but the one you posted about the 9/11 thing wasn't.
I know some people use humour to hide how shocked or upset they are about tragedys in the initial aftermath and can even understand that. It's why we tell jokes at wakes. But yours was a different type of humour. It's been 6 years almost and that kind of thing is in the cold light of day. It's an odd sinister humour I don't share that finds suffering funny or death amusing. If that were a video of a car crash would you show Hammer dancing on the bonnet? The mindset that makes a video like that... I don't get it

........every couple of seconds a child in africa dies of preventable starvation,
every couple of days several dozen people are made permanetly disabled or die in iraq,
today there was a car accident in which a person died and tomorrow there will be a person who dies in a car accident and so on and so on, are their deaths any less importatnt than a single person who died in 9/11 -no!
and yet people still make iraq jokes, car accident jokes, and afircan jokes......
or does 9/11 superseed everysingle event worldwide from now unitll eternity ????
in vietnam over 70 thousand people died in that war, and guess what there are still jokes about it....
spring time for hitler wasmade just twenty years after the holocaust, and mel brooks was thinking about the film in the late fifties and six million jews died there!!!!
iam paraphrasing mel brooks here; but the best way ofdefeating a thing of evilis to laugh at it.iam in no way diminishing the pain and suffering of some one who lost a loved one.

I never singled out 9/11, I mentioned it because I remember you posting that picture and me not being amused. Incidently I don't laugh at starving kids or war victims either. Death giggles, rape jokes and violence humour... It's all the same.
What Mel Brooks believes doesn't apply to me since I don't share his reasoning on this. You mustn't quote the opinions of a fellow you like as if it were a fact.

comedy is such a subjective thing.........i betyour the type of person who see's a car accident on th road and fights back the gut reaction that says i'm glad that wasn't me , and then says out loud that's horrible how can i help....
I’d be the sort of person who puts the pedal to the metal and thanks god, Jehovah, Buddha, Muhammad, Vishnu and satan, for safe measures, that the pile of meatto myright was not any body i knewor any one from my family.

you can post non offensive comedy clips in the entertainment village. it doesnt really warrant a seperate forum to its self. comedy is part of entertainment. if unsure what you can or cant post please refer to the guidelines of the village which are located at the top of each thread
