Afro-caribbean meet up groups - 03-02-10, 02:55 AM

Hi everybody,

I' m Renee, 27, French Caribbean and I've been living in Bristol for almost 3 years now. However, I 'm desperately looking for Afro-Caribbean social groups or venues to meet people.
Could you tell me please where I can find them?

thanks

Kuumba Arts and Resources Centre
Kuumba Arts & Community Resource

You can always try asking anyone on Ujima Radio (the local African Caribbean community radio station)
Ujima.co.uk - Keep on Movin

There is also the Malcom X Centre in St Pauls (to my limited knowledge, there is a big Black community in St Pauls)
Malcolm X Community Centre - Welcome

Check this out too St. Pauls Unlimited Community Partnership, and BDA — Black Development Agency

Pleeese. The term is AFRICAN (not afro) - CARIBBEAN. This doesn't sit well with some of us but remember:

"It is not a problem being Black. What is the problem is the false and negative perceptions and attitudes to Africa, therefore to ‘Black’ people.
