The Nub is an education and development centre aimed at the African and Caribbean Community. We are based in Walthamstow.

The Nub was started by a group of African and Caribbean men and women with a common interest in improving the situation facing black people. We came together in order to create a centre which we feel will be instrumental in facilitating this process.

We provide a variety of courses and services including: Black and World History, Dressmaking and design, meditation, self-defence, modelling, psychological health and development, study circle, wholistic health ( to be taught by Dr. Llaila Afrika, this september), children's black history, women's wellbeing. There are also therapists who offer services such as massage, reflexology from the Nub. Every first Saturday of the Month, we hold Da Chillout Spot, a night of edutainment with discussion, live music, poetry and soul food.
