Unacceptable language that is:



Designed to harass, intimidate or threaten other users of this Village.

Considered in the view of the Moderators to be against the Ethos or sprite of this Village.

Designed to undermine or abuse any member of the Moderation team...

Designed to bring BLACKNET VILLAGE into disrepute with the primary laws of the UK.



Unacceptable Graphics/pictures that:



Contains Nudity or sexually explicit materials.

Overtly degrades African men and women.

The decision on what constitutes degradation will be decided by the MODERATION TEAM Deems, (the Mod team view on this is final).



Portrays images of minors or that can be construed as sexually provocative pictures of minors (minors defined as anyone under 18).



Unacceptable and unsolicited advertising that:



Advertises any product, service or promotion that has not had the express consent or permission of BLACKNET Moderators or Administrators.

Intended to swamp/massively duplicate itself on the Village.



Unacceptable Threads/subjects that;



Promotes racial abuse of other cultures.

Target campaigns of hate at specific groups.

Is specifically anti African men or women.

Is specifically intended to attack identifiable village members.

Specifically contravenes the ethos of BN village, The Moderation team view on this is final



(There is a moratorium on interracial topics in this Village, all views on this subject will therefore be limited to existing threads...NEW Threads on this subject will not be encouraged or accepted....unless at the EXPRESSED discretion of the Moderation Team).



Thread Hijacking Advisory: Keeping Threads on topic, if you wish to start a discussion on a new topic start a new THREAD, Villagers are also requested to keep to topic when responding; any off topic points will be removed without warning....



Unacceptable online names/identifiers that:



Are intended to racially or sexually insult the ethos of this Village.

Are intended to be offensive.

Intends to contravene the Ethos of Blacknet Village (The Moderation team view on what contravenes this rule is final).





Unacceptable Links Are nor generally acceptable especially links to the following type of websites:



Those that contravene the Ethos of BLACKNET VILLAGE.

To Sexually explicit derogatory websites to European fascist websites

to websites that is obviously a promotional or advertisement.

That breaks copyright infringements. (Please do not INFRINGE on any patent, trademark or copyrighted material here on Blacknet Village.)



Trolls & trolling; These people are not Welcomed at BNV, and this practice is also not welcomed here... anyone deemed to be either a troll or practicing this foul practice will be excluded without warning...



Signatures: As a rule we prefer to avoid distractions whilst reading the forum, to stop solicitation and unwanted spamming of our members. Therefore we reserve the right to request that members limit their signatures to acceptable parameters and our guidelines:



You may use a signature (also commonly used in email messages) on your posts on BLACKNET VILLAGE Community Board. You may set your signature in your member profile. Once you have a signature stored, you can choose to include it with any post you make by checking the "include signature" box when you create your post. Your "signature" may not exceed two - three lines. To help avoid unwanted spam, we ask that you limit your "signature line" to two or three (2-3) single spaced lines only (or in any case, no more than 250 characters overall). Your "signature" may not contain any images or flash animation. Images of any kind are not allowed as they can slow down the load time and disrupt the discussion and introduce security exploits. A typical signature contains the poster's name, personal web site, and a favourite quote or saying.

If transgression of the guidelines persist then said members will be removed permanently without warning or discussion....



The Moderation Team have been directed to enforce these guidelines rigidly across the board regardless, and will not to entered into any debate or discussion on its enforcement...Ignorance is not a defence...



Finally What to do: If you witness a posting on BLACKNET VILLAGE that violates the rules then please PM/EMAIL us the offending post or link.



Although the Moderation team will endeavour to ensure all areas of the forum and every thread/post is maintain in accordance to the guidelines laid out (see above).



It will be naive to assume or expect that the Moderation team can or will be aware of every transgression as it occurs. Therefore we also rely on Villagers to also keep us informed and to bring to our attention any incidence which may have escaped our gaze.

[align=left]This is an All-African site. This means it’s the primary essence of the site. Villagers therefore should be aware that Moderators will decide the tone, emphasis and favour (of forums) in times of dispute and any necessary decision made would be an African one.

Villagers should not:[/align]


[align=left]‘Feed the trolls’ – meaning it would be better not to respond to any unfavourable posts clearly announcing intention to go against the African ethos or to cause trouble.

Start degrading threads about individual posters.

Be disrespectable to each other.

Be disrespectable to Staff (the Mods).

Write any advertisement, promotion or link in their post without permission.

Write inappropriate titles for their threads, (if unsure, consult any mod)[/align]
Go off topic unless signed appropiately

Show inappropiate/illicit videos/stills or illustrations

Intentionally sign up with offensive nicknames

Under no circumstances start threads about interracial relationships. Because the emphasis is on ALL things African, we in the Village would prefer toencourage African relationships. Also because at one time we had a plethora of such topics, Blacknet had taken the decision not toallow these topics asfrankly, we had enough. It's also deemed detrimental to African culture.
