My apologies to the mods if I am posting in the wrong section.......i havent been here for a while so feel free to correct my post thanks

I recieved this today in an email but there is a link to the site (i hope it works)


This Act is a controversial hot potato but I want to post this still as we need to be aware of the changes that WILL affect us all

On the 24th of January 2008, the consultation period for the draft revised Mental Health Act 1983 Code of Practice, and the draft secondary legislation, will come to a close.


Roll-out of the act will start from October 2008 with far-reaching implications for all health care practitioners and legal representative working within the Mental Health arena.
