Good afternoon!
I am a final year BScEcon student at Cardiff University studying Criminology and Sociology. My disseration is investigating national identity and attitudes towards immigration, centereed around the question of what it means to be British. Much research has been conducted in this area, but focusing predominantly on the attitudes of white British folk. To this end, I am interested in hearing from black or minority ethnic British citizens. I have posted on Black London.org, and am awaiting responses there also.
My research will be conducted entirely online. If you are willing to share your views with me (anonymously of course) all I require is an email address that you access frequently. If I can gather around 40-50 respondents, the emails will then take form of an online focus group. I will send a group email with the first points for discussion and upon receiving reponses will collate any interesting points of view that arise and then send the next emails informed by these.
My deadline is the 5th of May, so allowing time for writing up the report I am in need of respondents urgently. If anyone is interested, and/or knows of someone else who may be, please reply on this thread or email me on

Many thanks for your time, Wil Chivers, Cardiff University
