‘WE MEAN BUSINESS’ BAME WOMEN’S EVENT

Ispirational Female entrepreneur gives support at inspirational ‘WE MEAN BUSINESS’ women's event.

Award-winning cultural diversity business entrepreneur Mavis Amankwah will be sharing tips on how to increase sales revenue at the FREE ‘We Mean Business’ event, hosted by Business Link in London, on Thursday 12 June 2008; designed to empower and inspire female entrepreneurs with businesses established for 12 months and over.

Mavis Amankwah, Managing Director Rich Visions, part of the Central Office of Information’s Cultural Diversity List, are hosting an event to help BAME businesses boost sales using cost-effective PR.

The event, ‘We Mean Business - Providing the Capital’s female entrepreneurs with the skills for success’ – will provide people with impartial, practical knowledge on how to meet growth challenges and take their business to the next level.

Mavis Amankwah, Managing Director, Rich Visions commented: “Research has shown that in all groups except 'other Asian' ethnic minority women are more entrepreneurial than their white counterparts.”

Amankwah continues: “However, running your own business can be an extremely challenging experience without the correct advice and support. Therefore it is imperative that you take advantage of specialist events such as ‘We Mean Business’ to find out how to access resources available to help you to succeed.”

The evening will also feature inspirational speaker Liz Jackson of ‘Great Guns’ (a business with a turnover exceeding £2.5 million), Ecademy founder Penny Power, informative workshops and specialist Business Link advisors on hand with plenty of networking opportunities. Other notable partners include Everywoman, Women’s Junction and Fresh Ideas Events.

The event takes place at the Guoman Tower Hotel, St Katherine’s Way, London E1W 1LD on Thursday, 12th June, 4:00 – 9:00pm

Hey there!

Looks like I'm halfway around the world and a day away from this amazing event. Unfortunately I can't make it out to the lecture in London, but I wish with all my heart that I could be there! I think it's important for women in business to support each other, and I will definitely lend my support in spirit. Any chance of this lecture being broadcast online?

Currently I'm an official Microsoft ambassador and right now we're really trying to scale up our connections with influential bloggers like yourself. I'd love to share with you some of the stuff we've been doing in the last couple months to help women entrepreneurs; we're really committed to providing all the necessary resources to help women start, grow and expand their business.

We just wrapped up a women's entrepreneurial tour across the US called “Vision To Venture;” the response and turn-out was great!

I'd really love your take on these offerings we have right now; I would have contacted you via email but I didn't know which was the best way to reach you.

Thank you so much, I hope I didn't overstep my bounds by directly contacting you. Definitely get back to me if I’ve piqued your interest-- I’d love to share more info with you.

Best,
Tanya M.
