Has anyone seen Lela Rochon lately? If you don't know her by name, she acted a longside Whitney Houston andAngela Bassett in Waiting to Exhale. I saw her on This Morning and was shocked. She looked totally different...has put on so much weight. Now I'm not saying being weighty is bad but if you compare how she looked then and now it's shocking! (She half-smiled sometimes but didn't look particularly happy) Anyone????

Lela Rochon's busy being a mom and wife to director Antoine Fuqua ("Training Day" and that King Arthur movie with Keira Knightley). She used to be on a police drama on the Lifetime channel called "The Division".

A side note: Through my media work, I got to meet one ofLela's distant cousins, Stephanie Rochon, who is a news anchor (or as you Brits call them: news presenter) in Richmond, Virginia. You can tell Stephanie and Lela are kin. They both have those Rochon cheekbones.

Just how much bigger is she now? Because what females call 'putting on so much weight' is what we call putting ona couple pounds.

It's like abi1 said Thriller, she's now busy being a mum...and the weight she has put on is noticeable!! Believe. I looked at the screen, looked away and looked straight back again because I didn't recognize her. Yeah, abi1, she was standing right by her husband (I remember the name) because he's now directing or is it producing a new film. She was just standing beside him...it must be weird for her when she looks back at herself in films, but hey! Yeah so anyway, I'm not saying she's soooo big where it's gross I'm just saying that it's surprising how big that petite woman has gotten, you just wouldn't have imagined she would look so motherly as she does now. I wish I could put a pic up of her but it wasn't from a pic that I saw it. She's more rocking Loretta Divine's weight devision now. (Maybe I'm just in shock now and exaggerating, anyone else?)

OHH well if she big cos she's a mummy then thats OK!! thats a different kinda beauty in a way. The husband probably appreciates her being his baby mother and so on.

I thought you meant big like Kirsty Alley big...."I have no excuses I just ate too much" LOL

I used to watch that cop show the division, it was on living tv. Lela has put on weightt but don't worry guys,she still looks good.A lil extra meat doesn't harm anyone especially after having kids. She does not look bad!

What is she doing now? has she got any up-comingshows/films?

In fact there's a lot of actresses we don't see much of anymore it seems to all be about Halle Berry, where's Nia, Gabrielle, Regina, Sanaa, Angela etc etc?

I don't particularly see that I said anything bad about Lela Rochon in any of my posts!!! I was just wondering if anyone has seen her now....because she was sooo petite! That is all! Nothing wrong with her, just a change!Namely at FB.
