I twicewatched this programme for over 40 minutes.
Since then I've seen little snippets of maybe a few minutes.
Obviously it is ghastly, but we can not and should not deny its' broad appeal to the narcissitic generation between the ages of around 20 and 40.
For many it is the best study of group dynamics they will get in their lives. As such they find it eductational, but perhaps it says a lot about some of the cultural and intellectual limitations of modern life that people should be so glued.
In truth you could probably learn as much about the human condition by looking at a group of people who frequent a pub over a couple of months.
Maybe it's unfair to judge something I havent seen much of, but when I see the gibbering insanity of this shows' devotees I suspect something wrong.
An obvious defence of theirs is to couch their devotion in irony.
Someone should tell them irony is like.....so 90s
This is the same old story: Something once groundbreaking soon turning stale, like all those ghaslty magazines about celebrities which try to convey themselves as radical while actually being deeply conservative
I'm sick of my viewpoint being derided as "snobbish" just because I dont hold with a country being so smug as to indulge in this degree of naval gazing
The deep irony is that a lot of people wathcing this show will soon live in a BB ID card state because they were too busy watching shite TV to know what was happening in their own country.

I must of missed this thread when I posted my dis on the bb thread earlier let me reiterate that is the biggest pile of stage managed crap ever to infest the human mind a fake house,fake contenders, fake scenarios, fake situation perpetrated by fake individuals which sadly happens to be the main topic of discussion by real people where ever u turn are black people so desperate for entertainment that all they have to do is throw a few black misfits together and it has everybody frothing at the mouth? check out the bbthread 283-1 contributions and over 3000 views for a thread barely 3 days old how sad.

I totally agree, i watched the first big brother as i always do merely because i was going to audition for the first one.


At the time i thought it would be a very intersting social experiement for me to partake in especially as i can't stand white people! I was interested to see if, knowing my family/friends would be watching me, i could maintain the good values i was brought up with without cussin dem dutty raaas( sorry mum!)orresorting to violence driven by frustration.

So yeh i always watch the first episode to see who they picked this time, and every year it gets worse, can't believe of people who take this so seriously, and i have zero respect for any black person who goes on there, especially after watching the freaks they put on the show nowadys, they deserve to be stoned to death the lot of them.

all in all its all entertainment, but there are some people that skip work to watch this thing 8 hours a day and nothing else and i think thats a problem in my own eyes if thats what people do, but what ever you do with your time is your business, i watch the show too when i can and catch enough jokes, black people will still always apply for the show no matter what, and are still used as a joke same with th rest of the house mates, so watever they do is up to them, i just join in the laughter if they aint sensible enough to know that that show sees them as nothing but a joke then theres nothing anyone can do but laugh at them.

i think its a reall problem when the only time you leave your tv set is when you wana piss and i got a neighbour like that.general regular entertainment sucks the same anyway with , eastenders, holby city and amerdale or what ever that crap is called . so wat ever we do we cant avoid crapy shows when we at home.

I have watched bits of it, but ultimately living in University halls is like Big Brother, but better . The funniest thing about it is how people say 'I don't come in here to bitch, but'. It's the BB equivalent of 'I'm not racist, but'.
