Guns are cool?
Wrong.
Swords are cool.
But nobody ever talks about swords, that's why they're less crimes commited involving swords. They're alot easier to purchase too.
Sites like the one above are part of the problem. It's common knowledge that "alot" ofchildren between the ages of 6 and 16 rebel against "somethings" that they're taught, even later on in life, especially when it's being presented in that fashion.
Negative words, promotions, websitesabout guns and anti-gun campaignsdomuch more damage than the NRA ever could.. People just aren't aware enough to see that.
Remember it's cool to be bad as a kid sometimes, and when a bad child associates being bad, wicked, and cool, etc by having a gun then they'll probably get a gun, just to portray that image.
The people who give guns a negative image are actually the people who "LOUDLY" oppose having them, they're to blame too. It's not just the rappers.
Like I've said elsewhere the opposite effect is normally what is achieved with these campaigns.
If you still don't understand. here's an example.
The game Grand Theft Auto got so much negative press because of it's violent content that some parts of the media even talked about it being banned.
A few years on, now games like that are almost the most popular genre, they certainly sell alot. They're ten-a-penny basically. The negative press made it popular. And the press is still negatve about those sort of games, regardles of the fact it's they who help the game get into more homes. Go figure. It's hard to believe that they're ignorant about that.
