Yes is was. I was very young but my sister used to watch it and I remember us dancing around to it. It was one of the only ways we really heard newblack US music in North London.I remember Miami Sound Machine and various others on it even though I couldn't have been much more than 7 years old when it was on. That guy from Shalamar presented it didn't he? It was wicked, should never have been taken off air. My sister taped it and years later we would get it out and take a trip down memory lane, unfortunately it got taped over.

If soul train never stayed on the air in UK..y'all missed out...

for better or worse....soul train watching was the precurosor to the musci videos of today..in terms of seeing young attractive black women in tv...

man...in the lycra/spandex era...soul train was a MUST WATCH.....soem of those women were just as popular if not MORE..than any video model of today...they just didn't have the outlets to further their careers...



the actress Rosie Perez, used to be a soul train dancer..and though I can't say that I remember her......when they show the old footage..she was THICK....
