Malcolm X-The whole last part of the movie, particularly when his wife is crying and over him and the photo montage at the end when Aretha is singing Donny Hathaway's "Someday Will All be Free"

Cooley High-When Cochise is getting beat up/killed by those dudes

Set It Off-When Latifah tells the other girls to get out of the car,she's sacrifrificing herself in a way.

Boys Don't Cry-whole movie was sad in a way, like someone else said.

Eve's Bayou-This movie isn't particularly sad, I'm just moved by the beauty of the cinematography and landscape.

Soldier's Story-when the "Geechie" character realizes that Adolph Caesars's character set him up to be thrown in military prison because he thought he was an embarassment to the Negro race,(he kills himself subsequently).

Claudine-When Diane Carroll's character beats her teenage daughter with a hairbrush cause she comes home pregnant...you could sense her rage/ fear/sadness that her daughter was going to end up like her, with a bunch of kids she can barely take care of.

Thelma and Louise-when they decide to drive over the edge of the Grand Canyon,rather than turn themselves in(I know.....sue me)

I only started getting emotional with eyes welling up after my first child was born but even so, you're not going to believe this. The closing scene in E.T where Elliott is saying his goodbyes to the alien does me in big time - yeah, I all have to slap myself telling myself to fix up, and cursing asking myself if I'm an eediat!

Ironically I remember back in the 80's when they showed pictures of the famine in Ethiopia on the news and my mum would be watching showering tears like rain - guess I can relate now

Conscious sista - believe!...and what's even more scary is it's the same even if I watch it again

Apollo Creed was beaten by an Italo-American part-time butcher...shit wasn't funny. had me breaking out in tears. I'm still not over it. The former butcher beating Clubber Lang wasn't funny as well

Rocky didn't win in Rocky 1. He just lasted for the whole fight against the champ (Apollo) which is all he wanted to do anyway. I liked Rocky 1, it was realistic and emotional.

After that when he beat Apollo in Rocky 2 it started getting silly and completely unrealistic but I still enjoyed those flicks.

I don’t really find many films moving.
Except for…….

The champ -right at the end when the boy cries for his daddy to wake up, gets me every time.
Boys in the hood - when Morris Yummy Chestnuts character gets murdered
Boys don’t cry - was quite disturbing as well.

That's one memorable scene!!! The tears and the snot was flowing and you knew exactly what Claudine was feeling for her daughter. The courtship between her and James Earl Jones was sweet as well.

"I am Sam", I cried throughout most of the film. It just brought to mind some really unpleasant memories of my own past.Which is why I haven't watched it since Isaw itin the theater.
