Someone please tell me why?

There is a huge Rocky fan base evryone would like to see another Rocky movie including myself....seems when a Superman movie comes out a Rocky movie comes out.

The thing i find the most irritating about the new rocky movie is that not the fact he is in his 60's and making this movie, not that its been 30 years since the last film, not that no matter how they twist the story we all know what is going to happen and how it is going to end.

It his opponent in the movie. Antonio Tarver, i know with the huge success of the franchise they could of picked any boxer to play his opponent, so why choose the most quiet uncharismatic boxer out today. i thought they would get someone like roy jones jr, someone with a big mouth and an abundance of arrogance to act as the sort of character like Mr.T in rocky 3. i wanna see this movie though, more based on curiosityof how the movie shapes up rather than excitement. I just hope tarver is more cocky and arrogant and exciting in the movie than he is when he is fighting in real life

Pleeeeez.....this is such a terrible gimmick that only insults people's intelligence.

They're trying to make it along the same linesas the old chop socky kung fu flicks where you get an old man with long white hair, eyebrows and beard who's just as physically fit as he was in the days of his youth who comes out to prove he's the champion just to provea point. It ain't happening.
