I apologize if this has already been posted, but...
I'm just speechless on this film. It was raw, disturbing, graphic, truthful, deep and just a great film. This movie really made me think and reallyappreciate where I come from and admire my ancestors for what they had to go through for me to be here. I hope my ancestors are with the Almight, in peace. Everybody needs to see this movie if you haven't. This movie has really open my eyes to what I wasn't taught. The movie "Roots" was good, but it was a Sesame Street compared to this brilliant film. I was just in shock at how much they didn't teach us in school and some scenes I couldn't even watch because they pissed me off and sicken me, but it is what happened.
I have a question, is it true that sick homosexual white men, used little black boys for their sick and twisted desires?

I have indeed seen this movie and indeed it is shocking, revealing and to a large extent almost titilating - in regards to how the director focused his camera on some of the degradations in the film!!!. Sometimes i have to question the motives of the Italian directors
Its a no holds bar film and nothing is left to the imagination.Most of the actors were taken from Haiti and therefore it brings with it a large element of authenticity. I believe i once posted files to this movie here at BV so others could equally download it and comment. I've had no responses from anyone and have since left it at that.
I'll definetly recommend it to students of black studies !

@The Watcher
Yow,the search function for some reason cannot locate this topic discussed previously. My guess is either because BN has changed their server or the topics has been archived. Please see mods.
@Blackthought
This film is basically about slavery from the point of view of a non-American - It shows slavery for what it was really worth i.e its de-humanizing of Africans, the collusion of the church with the Slave masters in instituting slavery particularly in the South of America. The portrayal of the scientist as chief advocators of slavery via scientific experiments on black. etc
I believe this film does a good job of depicting slavery for what it was really worth.More than any other film ever made on the subject.However,It leaves you confused, angry,mad and vengeful.
Mind you this film is banned from been played in most countries in Europe and America both at the time when it came out and till date in some parts of America!

This film has told me a lot of things that went on during slavery time that my school book left out.

Yeah brotha told me this film makes Roots look like a pantomime - and do not underestimate the sexual degradation these greys put our people through. Raping women was the least. Our women men and children were oralised and sodomised with all kinds of other nasty experiments. I mean they done the same with all their livestock.

Ditto that Icongito..Haven't seen it yet but will. Here is the way i explain it..Imagine every sexual deviation which we know that existed in western sexual and criminal culture now or you could buy or cater for...And imagine that given free reign..Raping women was a warm up exercise in most cases..Just to get shit started..As one Italian historian whose name slips me but from London Uni said..If you can imagine it it happened during slavery

On point @incognito and @fredblack...i was thinking on the same lines they already had the depravity behind closed doors and at those swinging aristrocat functions...... just picture them days when they had the power to commit those atrocities in and out of their country of origin
@Colo-mentality please repost

Peace
This film gives a more 'realistic' view (although IMO still 'tempered') of what our forefathers suffered. I'm not sure where part 2 went, but here is first 40 mins (total of film around 1hr 20)
