...i was thinking about starting one but couldn't take the chance that some one would destroy the illusion i have of the movie before some one
A) reveals the entire plot
b) tells me the movies crap or something... i already know that the big V is gonna be in the movie, and i don't want to know any thing else...

I havent seen the first two, but just from the trailer and some of the reviews it seems pretty good. Whis seen the other sequels and do you reckon this 3rd one is going to be any good???

Hmmm.....this is a new one on me! A thread to discuss the trailers on a forthcoming film.
Respect
There are those who feel that the only way to ‘prove their own worth’ is by ‘devaluing the worth of others’. You will often find that a man who is compelled to measure his substance against the substance of another, has little of substance in the first place!

mmmm
saw it just now...
..
good fight scenes....
venom good sandman good.....
goblin good
...
but it is as soppy as the day is long... in the middle of the film some youngsta yelled out spderman is a fassi... immature but i kinda agree the way they depicted his peter parker alter ego... pathetic.. especially to someone like me who had his first spiderman comic at age 4...
even my then date agreed.. coming out the cinema everyone was saying the same thing.. soppy soppy soppy
and
damn kirsten dunst is butters...
out of all the good looking women in hollywood they had to choose her ugly face ..
no front no back..
messed up grill..
.....
aside from the soppyiness and the sight of kirsten dunst,..
it was a good film .. far better than the first 2..
thats all i will say without spoiling it for anyone who hasnt seen it..
There can only be... one...

Ok, just seen it - Christ this was dull, dreadful and a complete dire. There seemed to be a song and/or dance number every few minutes. Kirsten Dunst seems to invest no emotional interest in MJ other than looking winsome. No wonder Peter gets his head turned by Gwen (who looked weirdly old).
Furthermore, it just seemed to go on forever! Its undeniable truth that this film was more disappointing than XMEN 3. This one hadtoo many characters running around, some of whom have to vanish for great chunks of the running time leaving you uncertain if they're alive or dead. I'd have preferred SANDMAN as the main villain, but if the whole thing about 'rage is like a black symbiote from outer space' theme is what they were going for, then he could have been dropped and just kept Baby Goblin and Venom.
And the big fight finale is a mess - with Dunst reduced to falling and screaming for twenty solid minutes, and an annoying English news reporter on hand to provide a running commentary - and then everyone starts crying and forgiving each other! I was hoping Sandman would start crying and his tears would turn him into mud again, but it wasn't to be.
The audience I saw it with seemed pretty bored and restless in place, with a lot of groaning to be heard when the film adopted a Return of the King approach to multiple endings.
I think the only film I loved this year by far would be NAMESAKE and I wish I could have spent my money on PAINTED VEIL than this crap.
Save your money and wait for it on FILM 4

The whole film was a convoluted mess. Here's just some of the things I didn't like about it:
- I agree with Lucas about MJ. She's hella annoying to look at and has absolutely no screen presence at all.
- I hated how they didn't even explain the origin of thevillains: amysterious meteor from out of nowhere justplonks tothe ground likebird shitand hardly makes a sound and out pops some black gooey matter which attaches itself to Peter's bike. Where did it come from? Who sent it? Also, what in the hell was that experiment that caused Sandman to become what he was? Not everybody has read the comics ffs!!
- The BEST Spiderman foe everyone was looking forward to since the first film didn't even get that much screen time. Some shape shifting would have been nice....
- I'm just not buying Peter Parker as a bad man. The sh*t was so laughable. Especially that slicked down hairstyle wtf?? Is that supposed to be menacing?!
- All the supposed sentimental and 'sad' parts had everyone cracking up, especially when Harry got killed
- Spiderman whizzing by the American flag.....wowhow subtle....
- Sandman was the only character in the film with a bit of depth
I'll list more later.

Agreed it was a mess.
There just wasnt enough airtime for 3 villians.
The whole twists around who kille peter parkers uncle as stated earlier, was at best a mess.
There were too many cliched moments, and the moral high road taken by spiderman was crap.
I wont even go into how the final fight was a let down....
Finally, it got a bit soppy and the plot was lost after 45mins. The bar scene with peter dancing should be relegated to a 'deleted scenes' or just used for dvd extras.
I still think 1 & 2 were better.

*pukes*
Guess hes the model patriotic citizen, probably votes republican.
Figured they were going to pack too much into this one, was gonna go see it yesterday but ended up in Bricks town. Just don't get how you could mess up a spiderman/xmen film... you've got the comics, the graphics and effects, the actors.... how on earth can you mess that up!? Its on a plate for crying out loud.
Seriously sticking to Far Eastern and independant films, lack of inspiration gwanin' at hollywood.

I've noticed a pattern. The same group says that all the blockbusters are crap and they'll stick to a certain genre of films.Yet seems like you guys are in the theater every weekend giving reviews.
Admit it you guys are film geeks.

I am a self confessed geek who grew up on comics. I would still see the crap marvel movies either way. Because it would be more painful to stay away....
