Support Black British Film Entertainment &
Social Inclusion Into Mainstream British Film Entertainment!
People, for too long black filmmakers have been sidelined and not given equal footing in the UK film industry, this is not only down to the Institutionalised UK film Industry itself, but also due to the fact the majority of ethnic minority people are not united in simply voicing their disapproval of their place in British culture, even though it’s you who creates the styles and trends for others to follow.
Let me say; excluded from this group are the South Asians who quite clearly displayed their strength Nationally & Internationally in the recent ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ debacle, when deep-rooted racism came to the fore.
Now all we are asking you to do is 3 simple things:
1) Pass this and the forth-coming 2 emails about the film ‘Cherps’ onto as many people as you can (you will receive universal blessings as well as hopefully more black British films reflecting our unique culture / exciting film trailer will be in next email on Monday coming).
2) Tune in and watch the first ever screening of the fantastic romantic comedy film ‘Cherps’ on BBC 2 on Thursday 13th September (next week thurs) at 12.05 pm.
3) In a professional manner send in a support email with the Gold ‘Cherps’ Star stating we want more Cherps (star coming to you next week Wednesday 12th Sept) using the email address below or print the forthcoming star email and send in letter form via post, to the director general of the BBC mark.thompson@bbc.co.uk showing your solidarity for Black British Films, please cc us also at cherps@prophetpictures.co.uk so we are also aware of how many emails that have been sent to the BBC. *(You should say thank you for actually showing the film, but you can also ask why black films are always shown so late at night – don’t we work or something? Or why there are so few black British films been screened on terrestrial TV)
That’s all we are asking you to do my people!
Isn’t it about time you stood up to be counted? – Go on…Let your voice be heard!
Watching the trailer I'd be intersted to see the outcome, hopefully it turns out not to be another streotypical 'all black man are wotless dogs' movie........
