I am a pretty big Star Trek fan, but don't have some big fanboy mentality. I Don't mind retonning and small contradictions in continuity etc unless they obviously don't make sense or completely disregard important stuff that's gone before.
I don't remember the movies with the original cast that much even though I've watched them pretty often. My favorite movie in the series was First Contact, followed by Generations.
Soran was a really cool character and even though some people thought it was just a feature length episode, I thought the Nexus was a cool concept. Plus I have a real nostalgic streak. I get this really odd feeling when I watch movies from the 80's, especially if they have that distinctive 'synth' soundtrack and also if they have that 80's saxophone sound.
I remember 'Generations' from my childhood. I saw it twice at the Cinema.
Personally I thought 'Enterprise' started of really slow and boring, but by the 4th season had gotten really good.
They really should be making a DS9 film but since nobody likes Avery Brooks as Sisko, it's never gonna happen, why not get another actor to play Sisko - Denzel maybe, Chiwetel Ejofor?
