I swear I need to get off the internet completely. The more I read comments from AA people the more hopeless I realize we are! What man worth his salt wouldn't be disturbed at AA men being murdered on the streets and AA women in 'crackhouses' cutting up drugs ? What kind of man could reason that it was 'jealous black women' who find these kinds of scenes disturbing? Well call me crazy if I have just an ounce of sympathy left for MY Afro-American men (which obviously I shouldn't have when they themselves don't respect anything about themselves) that it STILL bothers me to see profits of black on black killings going to useless stuff as a diamond necklace for a Puerto Rican woman! This is like Liberia and Sierone Leone all over again. African killing other Africans so White American women can have huge engagement rings!

But anyway....................I don't care anymore! Do as you wish. Get all your little Hiatian, Jamaician , African whatever together and have shootout then!

I saw the film yesterday I enjoyed it. However I have the same concerns as many AA women do. There were many faults within this film, so many that I was going on about them on the way home from the cinema to ma friend!! At the same time I think it should be remembered that this is Hollywood and this is the only way black people are represented. But a good film tho.

me personally i think it was a good film , people need to see this film , it showed you many stories

1) how one man can f**k up a community
2)your own family can betray you
3)drugs will distroy any community ( heroin cocaine crack )
4)lust for money will make you do anything
5)flossing or blinging brings you attention

i feel the passion of the speaker who makes some interesting points .

Emotionally unstable people should limit internet access. They end up projecting their insecurities and venting their frustrations on people who have nothing to do with them, girlfrom the NC.


Back to the topic, this is a story about a HEROIN dealer.....a scumbag....

in the film Malcolm X, denzel played Malcolm in period of his life when he was a crook/numbers runner/thief....he dissed the black girl played by therea randle....for the white married woman....just like it was written in the autobiography.... in the film...the Black woman he dissed became a hooker....


Again....Frank Lucas was heroin wholesaler,importer dealer etc.... scumbag...

I can understand our women not liking to see "good" men in real life with other women...but a damned drug dealer? a lowlife?


In a gangster movie based on fact or fiction, women are gonna be background characters anyway....unless it's about the Black woman who ran the numbers game in Harlem before Bumpy...
Lucas' wife is portrayed as a woman who looked past his illegal activity because he was rich...pimping herself out....subject to violence from Frank's enemies...she's slapped..shot at...

hardly a glamorous role....she's like a pet that Frank keeps around.
