What server technology do you think is best suitable for creating dynamic web-based system (e.g an online ordering system). Well, there are lists to choose from. Php agreed, on a linux platform, choice of Database is probably Mysql... Depending on the complexity of your online ordering.

Most Hosting company offer these technology as standard and you can be up and running in no time at a good low rate.

As I am sure you know in the tech world the main thing is service, security,support and speed, and because PHP is open source the support you get or can obtained is endless, PHP is cross platform, can run on pretty much anything, security is reasonable, and speed is healthy,

But it is down to the complexity of your online system and personal choice.

To get up and running I would use PHP hands down for now.
