If moving from the U.K to the U.S is it enough to justget a U.S adaptor on my lead for my Laptop???
Also how howabout any other electronics like say a boom box or DVD player, do I need some kind of step-down transformer??? or will adaptors suffice.
Any help would be greeeeeeeatly appreciated.

you should try this site i think it has the information you need
http://www.theelectroniccompany.com/...converters.htm
and yeah i think for all the electronic stuff you bought in the UK, you will need a step down transformer and an adapter

you dont just need adapters you actually need an adapter with power convertor. the whole wattage is different in USA. so an adapter will not do anything but blow your electronics. trust me i know first hand.
to be honest you might be better off selling the stuff you have and buying new stuff when you get here. rather than possibly buying a cheap power adapter and messing up your stuff.
well i hope this helps

Thanks Cutie.
Im a female by the way
Well I looked at the website that Cell posted for me and it is informative to a degree.
Cant just sell my laptop and buy a new one,im not living that large.
I figure if I buy a powerful enough step -up transformer that i,ll be ok as long as its a good one,it will probably cost a couple hundred bux,but its better than me shelling out a grand for new stuff.
